:energy: Has everyone put of their christmas trees?

I'm still looking for black ornaments. I'm trying to do a black silver and red tree this year.

 I do, I do. We cut ours down the Saturday after t-day. I'm hoping it isn't dead by x-mas!!

Black and red - pretty. I have no color scheme - just whatever the kids make in school!!

I know that for myself - when I was 21 and first went to a step show with my girlfriends - I was very uncomfortable at first - and some women were nasty to me - Why was I uncomfortable? Because there were thousands of people there and I stuck out like Casper the friendly ghost! It wasn't anything to do with being intimidated by the other women, etc... it had to do with feeling out of place - and women were nasty to me that I was there to "steal their men" = Please! I was there because my best friend's bf stepped, and they asked me to come - nothing more. After a while, I was comfortable - because my friends treated me just like they always had - I was the one who had felt different, not them -

Sus - my son LOVES step shows!! I'm always hoping to find one around here to take him. Only one I know of his the competition in April in NC.

Where, where?????Yuh coming to stay wid me???:dance:

u don't like chalit tea? I love that with a huge chunk of harddough bread and buttah

I love chaklit tea - I brought my sister some back last trip and showed her how to make it - now she's addicted - So, my brother in law begs me for coffee and cigars - she begs for chaklit tea.

So does the group who are doing the weightloss agrees to do the weight watchers' plan? I have personally lost weight on that plan and wouldn't mind trying it again. Or are we going to do what we think will work for us individually? When is the offical start date that we are aiming for?

:ot2:

Clair I tried weight watchers but I am lazy as He!! . I write so much during the day I hate writing down what I eat. It feels like I am double charting like at work  . It is a very good plan and I have known people to lose weight on it. We have this Holistic Dr. here and he has a plan where u give up meat 4 a month and only eat fruits, green leafy vegetables and any kind of nut that are grown on a tree(no peanuts). No raw tomatoes. You have to try and equal out half raw vegetables and cooked . No butter. U can stir fry ur veggies and cook them any other way but fry in oil or butter. After the 4th week u can incorperate chicken and fish. The first time i tried this I lost 20lbs in the 1st month. I broke down one day and ate a piece of fried chicken and then it was on  .

Ur right Kimmy, a lotta ppl have forgotten. I've taken offense to a lotta things that have been posted by non-Jamaicans but don't even bother to reply. I just sit and shake my head. When it comes to certain topics and ideals, some people don't look at both sides of the equation. A so it go

As one of the non-jamaican crew, I'm thankful that the jamaicans do speak up because it helps me to learn more about my SO's culture and, hopefully, have a better understanding of who he is.

Happy Birthday to ya...Happy Birthday to ya...Happy Birthday...

Thanks - I could actually hear you singing!

Just the other night a friend of a good friend called to ask me about JA since she's going for her first time and alone. She asked me about if she had to buy bottled water and I said NO WAY, they have the BEST water there. Save the environment and avoid the plastic bottles!

I also gave her the rundown about keeping her head and not getting too f***ed up anywhere so she won't be a victim of anything. Tried to tell her there's no reason to be worried there and that she'll have a great time (even alone) and to just keep her wits and common sense and she'll be fine. Just the same as we have to do here in the U.S.!

I love step shows too - I am just amazed - I love watching any type of dance, so that was just a natural transition - They are out there, search the colleges in your area for who has fraternities -

I will not take one of my best friends to JA for precisely this reason - bc she gets outta hand here, and I have told her countless times that I am not about to deal with her like that in JA - if she can get herself in check, I will be more than happy to go away with her - but she has a lot to prove to me first.
