So, to give the condensed version of my full story, which some of you here already know - When I broke my engagement to my ex, and walked away from him, something else decided to take a walk I was tired, run down, and surprise!!! Pregnant. My ex was useless and self centered, and totally not involved in my son's life. When he was 18 months, we were broadsided by a drunk driver and he was killed instantly - He was the light of my life and my joy - Yes, it was hard going through what I went through, but I truly believe that everything happens for a reason - My son was a wake up call to me to make some serious changes in my life, and now he's my angel.

The depo provera shot is what got me where I am , but I know my inactivity and eating habits is why I keep seeing puffy in the mirror 7 years later..

i need to find an aerobic class, all the dutty whining don't seem to be helping LOL

I've heard bad things about depo.....birth control sucks but unfortunately so necessary. I hate what even the pill does to me....turns me into a lunatic!

yeah girl.. i blew up.. my mom kept telling me cuz it wasn't natural to not have a cycle (the depo stopped mine, I wasn't complaining tho )

i heard others have side effects worse than mine.. I just couldn't trust myself to take a pill everyday and the patch had just come out, ive since heard really bad things about that one too. well soon after I just got the tubal.

girl I love to dance.. i guess that is why I my weight stays stable.. who knows what it would be otherwise

ells, girl u and me both know our beauty is not in our figure, but like u said, when u see urself not capable of doing certain things, for me it was going up and down my stairs at home w/ out breathing hard, then we know we have to take action.

Not to be disgusting (but this is) - But have your friends research burn centers in hospital - My friend had found out that she could be a skin donor with all of the excess skin - They would cover the cost of plastic surgery -

Thanks. I'll pass that info as well. My friend is so pretty. She never had problems meeting men, even at almost 400 pounds. Now she's too depressed to to out although she looks fabulous.

Has she been to a psychologist? Maybe it isn't the skin. I talked to a number of people who have had weight loss surgery and a lot get depressed after they lose weight because after surgery you realize how much of your life revolves around eating and when the food is gone your friend is gone. She need to replace that feeling food gave her with something else. (hopefully something positive) a lot of people transfer bad habit for bad habit. They start drinking, smoking, gambling, shopping etc. Hopefully she can pick up a good habit to replace the bad one.

Not since the surgery. Of course, she had to see one before...that was 3 years ago. She is now drinking too much. All I can do is make suggestions for her to see a professional.

The pill is a pain to remember....I've been lucky the times I missed taking at the same time of the day or even forgot a day! When my honey gets here, I'm gonna try an IUD although I've read horror stories about that too.

Since I stopped dancing hard twice a week over the last year and a half, my weight has come back on and I know dancing is what kept me stable too....if I wasn't spending so much $$ on calling JA, I'd have the extra to go back to classes. Darn that guy...just makes me want to talk to him every day!

True what you say about beauty (although from what I can see from your little picture there, you ARE gorgeous) and while that part is nice, it's even better to be able to move like a youngster!
