well with surgery there is work too. If you don't change you end up with more problems instead of less problems. Main thing is getting the psychology of it all in check. If you don't do the psychological work it won't last.

No problem Sus....you can laugh at me....I'll laugh too one day when I can move like normal again. Right now though I'm just irritated with myself....can't believe I got to this point! Stepped on the scale this morning to see just how much damage has been done and now 5 lbs heavier than the heaviest I'd ever been previously....#######!! Time to get busy ASAP!! (Where's a 'kick-in-the-pants' smiley when you need it??)

Definitely Sol - That is the problem with the girl that I know who had it - SHe had a HUGE food addiction - and she replaced it with sex and drugs - (obviously other issues w/ her as well).

I lost 100 lbs - It's hard to stop seeing the fat girl in the mirror, even when she's not there anymore -

Not to be disgusting (but this is) - But have your friends research burn centers in hospital - My friend had found out that she could be a skin donor with all of the excess skin - They would cover the cost of plastic surgery -

Thanks. I'll pass that info as well. My friend is so pretty. She never had problems meeting men, even at almost 400 pounds. Now she's too depressed to to out although she looks fabulous.

Has she been to a psychologist? Maybe it isn't the skin. I talked to a number of people who have had weight loss surgery and a lot get depressed after they lose weight because after surgery you realize how much of your life revolves around eating and when the food is gone your friend is gone. She need to replace that feeling food gave her with something else. (hopefully something positive) a lot of people transfer bad habit for bad habit. They start drinking, smoking, gambling, shopping etc. Hopefully she can pick up a good habit to replace the bad one.

Well I am not there yet but I wasn't always fat. I was bigger than doctor wanted me to be but not fat. I think that person will always be with me but it is ok because she is part of me and has contributed to the woman I am now good and bad.

This is soooo true! That's my battle right now. I KNOW my reasons for eating (big time emotional eater) and how to try alternative things to keep from using the same old responses BUT putting them into practice is a whole other dilemma. Friends are amazed by my ability to stick to something when I put my mind to it but my very last battleground is on the food/eating/weight issue. People have marvelled how I decide to quit cigarettes and BAM, pick a date and done! I decide not to drink (have always been pretty moderate but sometimes I get on a roll) and BAM, hardly touch alcohol for months at a time. Decide to get something done and BAM, it's done. But with the losing weight thing, I have yet to conquer it. If I ever get there, I'll be nearly completely vice-free!

Yeah Dance she got her surgery for free they did the breast reduction because she had back problems and he did the tummy tuck for practice. You are not alone with the exercise thing. I need to get back to exercising but I'm so lazy and work so late etc etc...always something. I can't believe I used to be able to do the splits. Shoot my legs shudder to think about a split now!

Oh did the ex get the picture or is he still bugging you?

You know it's weird, I KNOW I'm fat but at the same time I still feel like the normal girl that I was before I hit my early 20s. It just doesn't make sense when I can't do the athletic things I used to do until I realize my own body is in the damn way!
