Hey ladies;

I'm okay. Got a promotion, so I'm crazy busy at work. I finally get an assistant after 11 years. I told them no more and that I'm only one person I can't do everything. Either get me some help or I'm walking.

Intimacy, like charity, begins at home. If we cannot be intimate with ourselves, we have no way to bring to intimacy with another person.

Intimacy with ourselves takes time. We need time for rest, time for walks, time for quiet, and time to tune into to ourselves. We cannot completely fill up our lives with activities and become intimate with ourselves. Nor can we just sit quietly indefinitely and become intimate with ourselves. We have to have the time and energy to be our lives and to do our live in order to establish and intimate relationship with ourselves.

Surprisingly, as we become intimate with ourselves, we discover our connection with others

i always think that it is because as a baby when a Jamaican or an African's hair starts to grow it grows "tall" and I know me, as a white girl the hair grows "down" . A lot of my friends here even say it. I also have a few friends in Africa (Sierra Lione and Zambia) and they say the same thing :yes: They only recently came to the U.S. so it wasn't a conditioned thing either

oh well, who knows.

I love this word..Dwayne and I were talking yesteday and in his description of a ladies dress he said it was one of the "tall" ones.

It's funny how hair is so different based on nationality. I love it.

Really :blush: How cool!!! I want a sister. I'm the only girl...2 full and 2 half brothers.

My mom was the only girl with 4 brothers and always said she wanted a sister while growing up. Well she grew up and had girls and made us into her sisters.

Conrats on the promo Lawny!

Hang tight Portland Angel...it soon come! The same thing happened to Mrs. Cole(I think)...where it got hung up for a little bit...not long. They are probably doing a name check or fingerprints!

Thanks for all the well wishes about my Dad...he is doing much better! Thanks Fam!

Question: What does the EAD look like? I am so pissed! Ken and I went to get his NYS learners permit in August. The idiot old man told us he has to be in the country for 6 months before applying. Ok, so we went back last week and they told us that his I-94 has expired and that we have to wiat on his EAD card or Resident card. I was F-U-R-I-O-U-S!! When mi tell yuh mi cuss some bad word inna dat deh office...I'm not lying!! :angry:

The DMV supervisor knew I wasn't lying because she said that 6 month rule hasn't been in effect for 5 years now and knew I probably spoke with an 'old-timer'. However, she couldn't fix his error because they take copies of the visa and her job would be placed on the line with an expired I-94!!!!!!!

She said if the EAD has a picture then we can use it...if not then we will need to wait on his Resident card!

So...hence my question!

Hey Gill....Dwayne and I faced very similiar circumstances and now have to wait on the blasted EAD. Hang in there. How long have you been waiting. We are at 2 months and 1 day..

Today Yaads talked bout making jerk steak for t-day and made a comment that they "jerk" everything. Soooo - I still have a big tupperware of turkey so I made jerk turkey for dinner with spanish rice!!! And it was delicious!!!!
