Hey ladies;

I'm okay. Got a promotion, so I'm crazy busy at work. I finally get an assistant after 11 years. I told them no more and that I'm only one person I can't do everything. Either get me some help or I'm walking.

You're a boss now!!! Congrats on the promotion.

Thats great to hear, Lawny

Hi All,

I am new to this link but thanks to kkholiday2006 :) , I am here posting. You posts are all amusing and I'm glad I started reading it this morning because I'm a bit down :( . I got my EAD card and I can't get my SSN because their system has not been updated and I've been passed over for two jobs. Yesterday I had another interview ad I can feel it that I got the job however; the only thing that is holding me back is the SSN so they do the background check. I'm so blah this morning and USCIS says I have to make an INFOPASS appointment :help: . Maybe some bully-beef with cabbage and fried dumplings will make me feel better, what do you think? I jsut have to remain positive through all this, right guys?

Welcome Tactful!! Congrats on getting the jobs even if you can't take them - that a is big accomplishment in today's economy. I hope the SS # problem works out soon.

I can not find anybody out there asking this question so here goes!

I filed for petition 3/06

recieved interview 11/06

was denied and told the case would stay open and my fiance could request another interview in march 08 in JA. My questions are:

1 Is there anything to do before he goes back, like forms and such?

2 Is there anyone out there that have had to go through the same process and if so how was your experience and did you get approved the second time.

Oh by the way the case was not elligible for appeal so we had to wait, Thanks desperate in GA

Alright ladies this was posted by my friend and yes it was the guy that admitted to the use of maryjane. Kimmy she miss posted and his renewal is up for 03/2009. I have invited her to the Yard and she will post soon . She doesn't no how to PM yet. Hope this answers some of the questioned that was posted.

Then we were right to tell who who to PM for help. I hope she figures it all out.

I'm not sure...I think it takes like 10 days for the SSA system to update with USCIS.

I'll take some fried dumplings. No bully beef though

Honey so sorry to hear :(

Glad you're feeling better Jawi!!

I wish...not so much. :crying: Not sure how that rumor got started. LOL...

Jawi - I uploaded from Rocketpro to my IPOD!!!!! I'm so excited - thank you, thank you!!

Glad you like it. how many songs have you downloaded?

being nosey, whats Rocketpro?

It is actually MP3 Rocket, a site where you can download all types of music after paying a registration fee. Unlimited downloads. I get all of my dancehall, R&B, Reggae, Culture etc from this site. I just downloaded Sasha Fierce (not sure if I like it though)...and Robin Thicke's Something Else album. It will even add album artwork to your IPOD for everything but dancehall tunes that are not on an actual album. When I get a song list for Jah Cure's album, I will download it too.

Honey...I am late catching up, but I just read where your home was broken in to...wth? I can only imagine the feeling of being violated in such a personal way. I had to deal with the thugs from SE DC trying to steal my car a few years ago....they broke the handle on the door (kids that didn't know what they were doing thank god), but I just remember the feeling of going out to the car the next morning to go to work, and then immediately looking and saying "something isn't right." When I realized what it was, I was so pissed, but also scared, and nervous...For the next couple of months I was always checking on my car in the evenings...it was ridiculous! Do you (or the police) have an idea of who may have done this to you?

my sister and I walked up on a little punk trying to steal my car. We were house hunting, decided to get something to eat and parked my car in the cul-de-sac of the last neighborhood. The neighborhood was just a couple of blocks up from my own subdivision. Probably not the smartest decision in hindsight.

We came up and the overhead light turned off in my car. I said "Hmmm. I don't remember leaving the light on in my car. Wait. Wakey. There is somebody sitting in my CAR!" So she pulls the Jeep up to the car, and said "Boy! Whatchu doing in my sister's car?!!!!!" My brilliant quick wit came up with "YEAH!!!"

LOL...I was scared to death. The little punk pulled his jacket over the lower half of his face, jumped out of the car and ran with all his might. The cops found it rather funny, and didn't think I needed to file a report.

you have got to be kidding!!! #######!! Glad he didn't get it though but i'm glad you think fast "yeah"

:bonk::rofl::bonk::hehe:

Jawi - I uploaded from Rocketpro to my IPOD!!!!! I'm so excited - thank you, thank you!!

Umm...2.....but that was just my test run!:lol:

Mi caan type inna de tall nails dem....

My attempt at typing patios...

:lol:KK, that reminds me of the time when my now mother-in-law wanted me to go into town with her to visit some friends. I was getting up to go, and she asked me to put on some "taller" shorts. I was like ####### Took me a minute to realize that "taller" meant longer, and she thought my clothes were too short!! :innocent:

 why u running around your mother in law with the pum pum shorts on mrs. P? :bonk:

 That's so funny Mrs. Palmer. I have to listen and then translate to what I think it mean. This lady was braiding my hair on the beach one time. She was like....Your hair is so Tall....I said...she must mean long... Is it right to even say tall? What does tall mean in English?

i always think that it is because as a baby when a Jamaican or an African's hair starts to grow it grows "tall" and I know me, as a white girl the hair grows "down" . A lot of my friends here even say it. I also have a few friends in Africa (Sierra Lione and Zambia) and they say the same thing  They only recently came to the U.S. so it wasn't a conditioned thing either

oh well, who knows.

not me, hahaha, only speculation

Intimacy, like charity, begins at home. If we cannot be intimate with ourselves, we have no way to bring to intimacy with another person.

Intimacy with ourselves takes time. We need time for rest, time for walks, time for quiet, and time to tune into to ourselves. We cannot completely fill up our lives with activities and become intimate with ourselves. Nor can we just sit quietly indefinitely and become intimate with ourselves. We have to have the time and energy to be our lives and to do our live in order to establish and intimate relationship with ourselves.

Surprisingly, as we become intimate with ourselves, we discover our connection with others

Intimacy....In/to/me/see...
