I have no idea.

The same night we watched "Half Ton Mom" a 900+ lady who had gastric bypass but died two weeks later.

Then "Half Ton Dad" came on about a father who weighed 1030+ pounds. .

Wow It is one thing to gain weight but when you are gaining enough weight to be 5-6 separate people Wow...I just wonder how you get that heavy. Did they have medical issues that contributed to weight gain?

Oops, maybe I was watching Half Ton Mom - I know she had had the surgery - didn't watch to see that she died - But Half Ton Dad was coming on next - I went back to my DVR

Yeah, it was so sad. No one expected for her to die. She lost 60 pounds in two weeks...I guess her heart didn't take it.

I have a little trouble tying my shoes since my gut has gotten fatter (it always used to be just my booty but now it's my belly too) and that has sent me into a panic realizing I need to do something serious and soon! I don't know how people can become 'bed bound'....at a certain point you just have to get help or do something!

Some of my friends had weight loss surgery as well. Only one REALLy looks good. Now she's depressed over the loose skin but you would never know she lost 150 pounds....she hides the skin well.

yeah I have seen some busted looking ones too.. the ones where because of the skin the look disproportinate now and its this one that lost TOO much.. she looks like a skeleton.

I know someone who had the lap band surgery - she has had so so many problems, hernias, the band slipping,..... she lost weight, but the skin is unreal = and the medical issues she has had, to me, aren't worth it.

We were watching a show called "Ruby" on the style channel about a 500+ pound lady trying to lose weight and Damien kept talking about how he fat he was when he first got here he only gained 10-15 pounds....no comparsion. Of course, it fell off in 1 week when he started working.

I heard about that show...was it interesting?

Maybe she had something happen to her that they didn't tell about. We had a girl like that in my office she went to rehab at 530 pounds I think. She was always a big girl but not super obese well she got shot and was wheel chair bound and that was what did her in. She decided to go to rehab like "big medicine" and she lost 100 pounds but still has more to go. I feel bad cause I know I have a lot but nothing nearly as much as she has to lose and it is d@mn hard once you get to a certain point. She just had a baby a few weeks ago too and you know that was many complications and she was wheel chair bound for the pregnancy luckily she only gained about 15 pounds from being pregnant.

One of the attorneys I work with had tried just about everything to lose weight, and was at the point of doing the surgery - He ended up going to a Fat farm for a month - He has lost 115 lbs so far and looks incredible - He swears that his month away showed him a whole new side to life, and made him change the way he was living.

Well dance I happen to know how you can get one for free. 1. Complain to your doctor about all your excess skin causing you skin irriations and have it documented in your medical records (you probably don't have enough excess skin you don't look big to m) 2. marry a military man and have one of those board Military Plastic surgeons do it to keep his skills polished. (my friend did this...I hate her! also got a breast reduction and looks like a teenager! can run around with no bra on) ok yes i'm hating

Not to be disgusting (but this is) - But have your friends research burn centers in hospital - My friend had found out that she could be a skin donor with all of the excess skin - They would cover the cost of plastic surgery -

Yeah there is a burn center in Augusta. It is not disgusting ok it is but not because skin donations are just like any other medical donation I guess. Ok if I were burned I would want somebody to donate something to me. I have been burned badly when I was in 6th grade by boiling water on my legs and I could just imagine having that all over your body....omg I just thought about that boy they made the movie about who's dad set him on fire to get back at the mother. What if they would have had this ability when he was burned! I'm telling you sometimes technology is awesome.

ur right..that is why I say hats off to anyone that is doing it naturally cuz its the best way.. BUT..mi nuh like fi wuk!! I am always looking for a shortcut .its in my nature..

Thanks. I'll pass that info as well. My friend is so pretty. She never had problems meeting men, even at almost 400 pounds. Now she's too depressed to to out although she looks fabulous.
