We were watching a show called "Ruby" on the style channel about a 500+ pound lady trying to lose weight and Damien kept talking about how he fat he was when he first got here :bonk: he only gained 10-15 pounds....no comparsion. Of course, it fell off in 1 week when he started working.

I heard about that show...was it interesting?

Yeah A complains about his weight gain too...all 10 pounds :crying:

I saw a piece of that the other day - How the heck do you get that big?????????????? Trust me, I know how easy it is to gain weight - but that much?

I guess you would have to pay but they try to guarantee an appointment....how ricockulous!! Might as well just stick with the online registering for $10!

----------------------------------

Q. Does a person have to pay the US$13.00 fee each time they need to call the Call Center?

A. No. The US$13.00 Appointment Scheduling Fee pays for eight minutes of conversation with a live operator. If the applicants use only part of the time, they can still use the remaining time on another occasion. They can use this to reschedule the appointment if necessary. Only if applicants have used up the eight minutes allotted would they need to purchase a new PIN for another US$13.00 payment.

Q. If I do not get an appointment date within the eight minutes that I have paid for, do I have to pay each time I attempt to make an appointment?

A. No. Nearly everyone is able to schedule an appointment in less than eight minutes because CSC's telephone agents are well-trained to assist them. If that is not possible, the applicant would need to buy another Personal Identification Number (PIN). Each PIN allows the applicant eight minutes to talk with a CSC telephone agent. Each PIN costs US$13.00. It is extraordinarily unlikely that it would become necessary for an applicant to have to pay for several PINs.

So, the pins are connected to some sort of timer that tracks the time? And, if you are calling from the US, it's $13 plus however much per minute the call is costing you.....Geez. That could be a really expensive phone call. I hope they dont' have any sort of recorded message either or that could eat your whole 8 minutes pretty fast. (JG just shakes her head at this system and walks away.)

Ehhhh - an nuh bodda wid being put on hold - we know how that go already

I have no idea.

The same night we watched "Half Ton Mom" a 900+ lady who had gastric bypass but died two weeks later.

Then "Half Ton Dad" came on about a father who weighed 1030+ pounds. .

No, Quana - I thought she had the operation, but then had complications after surgery -

I don't know either but she kept talking about her diet on the second episode. For some reason, I don't think she had the surgey. I'll look it up.

Wow :o It is one thing to gain weight but when you are gaining enough weight to be 5-6 separate people :o Wow...I just wonder how you get that heavy. Did they have medical issues that contributed to weight gain?

Sus - I'm just curious to what happened to the drunk driver.

Suspended license for 3 months - Not SHYTTT else - My civil suit is still going on -

THAT IS RIDICULOUS! NO VEHICULAR MANSLAUGHTER?! :ranting: my mom and sister have both been hit by drunk drivers. The person who hit my sister that was like the 3rd or 4th offense. Bunch of BS I TELL YA!!!!!!!!!!

Opportunities are like sunrises - if you wait too long, you miss them.

I have a little trouble tying my shoes since my gut has gotten fatter (it always used to be just my booty but now it's my belly too) and that has sent me into a panic realizing I need to do something serious and soon! I don't know how people can become 'bed bound'....at a certain point you just have to get help or do something!
