I like Spirit Airlines, what I like most is the fact that the transfer to the Jamaican flight is just a walk over to the next aisle. I know no food is a dragged, but most of the airlines are charging now for everything.

My return flight doesn't get me back into DC until 11:00 pm, so that will be a dragged, but since I am only 45 mins away from the airport, that will be okay. My suitcases should be lighter too.

I have never been on Spirit but will take whichever is cheaper to JA. I usually take US Airways if I can't get a good flight on AirJ. It's not about the food...the comfort, drinks :devil: and 3 hour flights. I really dislike flying so I hate layovers.

It also depends on the type of trip...when I was visiting Damien I would row a boat if I could. But now for vacations...it's all about comfort and being pampered.

My B-day party was wonderful, I will post pictures when I return home in Dec. I had so much fun, just went to bed at 3:30 am, don't know why I'm up, but my cell phone has started to ring. I will miss this holiday, I was trying to explain it to the family-in-law. I will miss the oyster-stuffing, deep fried trukey. I told them maybe we should try to jerk a turkey.

Cute pics, Portland!

I personally don't like Spirit - I have flown them to SC without problems, but that was a direct flight - My flights to JA always had issues, lost luggage, etc... and if you have a flight credit with them it's ridiculous to try to use it.

By the time I add in all the additional charges they tack on, it's usually cheaper for me to fly direct on another airline - but, if I could get a deal that got me to JA cheap, I would hop on it in a heart beat and deal with the issues.

Hey Claire! I appreciate the offer...my stuff from Sam's came through Fedex today so I think I'm straight....just one question though...where can I get saltfish/codfish? A regular grocery store or do I have to go somewhere like Compare?

Good to hear :thumbs: I got back to Brooklyn from Queens last night around 7pm. Thaat trip took me 12 hours. 5 more than it usually takes me. Enjoy your turkey day.

Forgot my manners. Good morning to all. Happy thanksgiving to those of us that are celebrating. Iluv, I see you down there. How is Canada. I know yours was last month but think about us here in the Us and the happy turkey vibes will float across the border...lol

Well, I am off to the drama of my sister's house! Four screaming boys, two bored teenagers, a senile grandma, and a pair of drunk inlaws, none of which belong to me! As you can all tell, I am so looking forward to this meal, lol!

Good morning everyone. Just on for a sec. I got to sleep late today. Just waiting for my dad to come pick us up. We'll stay at their house till Andre gets off work at 4 and comes to get us.

I have talked myself into a little Black Friday hassle. The scrapbook store I like is having a pretty good sale on a few things I need. Going to be there when they open at 8. Might even hit Old Navy....first time in 4 years, as a consumer and not an employee...before. It all has to be fairly quick cause Andre needs the car at 9:30 to work tomorrow. I (sigh) leave right behind him at 9:45.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving! Count your blessings.
