Had a look at Igor's list this morning and we've all moved 30 - 40 places backwards!!!

I can understand why few days ago we all shifted forwards, considering USCIS changed their processing times for K-1 to 6 months so everybody outwith that timeframe got stuck into some other list.

But can somebody explain it to me why did we go so many places backwards now? This waiting is hard enough without moving backwards :angry: . Just as you think you might be approaching approval time.... will this ever end? :( I know Igor's list is not precise but it is a rough estimate and as such useful to so many.

Anybody has any ideas? :unsure:

You have mooved backwards due to the change in processing times. As it changed from 6mths to applications from March 08, all the petitions in between have been added back onto IGORS list.

Oh, for crying out loud! Can't they make up their mind up? :angry: first it was February 2008, then 6 month. Now we are back to calendar so it's March 2008... Will they go to 5 months or 7 months next? Heck, I'll be so glad when this immigration nightmare is over!!!

Laura, thanks for the explanation. Much appreciated.

I think they are doing it to cover their asses, so they don't get loads of phone calls from people who were previously out of processing times when it was 6 months. It makes me laugh as they also have published their goals on the website too.

it changed a couple of times when we were waiting for our noa2 and it was always backwards. i was surprised to see that it moved forwards to 6 months! i think it has just moved back to where it was so everything is back to normal.

pay attention to your timeline here on vj and try not to think about their dates too much. you'll get there in the end. :)

Actually, I don't look at USCIS processing times... too depressing :). Igor's list and VJ estimated timeline is what I check on regular basis and I'm aware that Igor's list does not give you a complete picture. But it is a good relative comparison. It's just so depressing seeing the numbers roll back...yet again. :( At this rate we'll be done in March next year...if they don't decide to roll it back even further. ;)

Had enough of the backlogs...it's time to move forward. Come on VSC, full steam ahead (as somebody famous once said...no idea who) :)

I think the immigration timeline posted here reflects what is the current status based on VJers current reports of their NOA2s. But if you look at the USCIS website and their official processing times, for I-129F, as of this morning, it says March 2008. Haven't checked since so it might have changed again. :wacko:

they usually update the dates once a month so it will probably remain the same for a while.

it's interesting that the uscis says;

"Service Center Processing Dates for Vermont Service Center as of: September 30, 2008"

today is november 19th... perhaps if you check back on 30th november it will be updated again. :)

They are driving me insane :girlwerewolf2xn:. Maybe I should just quit checking until end of January and hope for the best :clock:
