It would be difficult for any reasonable person to conclude your relationship isn't bona fide when you've made four trips to visit her in China.

I've yet to hear anyone accuse Guangzhou of being reasonable.

There are lots of family visas issued in Guangzhou. Decisions that go against our wishes are not always unreasonable. What we see reported is usually only a small fraction of the story. Even the most diligent reports tend to come from only one person. Often they don't know some things their partner knows.

It may be helpful to note that the last two reported white slip denials from GUZ were K1 couples who only saw their fiancee one time. Neither has reported details of their case or interview. yet

There's significant evidence for many to conclude that visa decisions in Guangzhou are 80% or more concluded before the moment the interview begins. Many denials are due to the lack of required documentation. Many more are denied based on evidence unknown (at the time) to the petitioner. Many simply require additional evidence be submitted before a positive decision can occur.

I can't stress enough that the vast majority of white slip (no bona fide relationship) denials are not only legitimate but one or more of the parties is well aware of the reasons behind the decision. Please note the difference between "vast majority" and "all". The numbers are high in both categories. Some of it is as simple as, "Oh, I didn't realize that would be an issue."

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

GUZ dishes out 'not a bonafide relationship' like a dog in heat. I think they revel in it.

even the best prepared get reamed and the most unlikely pass.

How? Luck!

I personally know many that should have passed, flunk and others meeting the minimum pass. How else can you explain it?

so cross your fingers and pucker up when you interview.

I wouldn't be surprised if the failure rate is higher than the pass rate.

1st time responder....long time reader....

Ling and I are/were K-3....she had her interview 123008....white.....non bona fide relationship....

following day at the hotel she "heard" of 300 applicants that day, 200 were denied.....do not know details beyond that....could have been immigrant applicants as well....

her interview is posted on Candle under the results forum.....

i have ticket in hand for trip early Feb including a sidetrip to GUZ.....ACH on the 9th.....am intrigued to read a common recommendation here is hire local attorney, petition to keep file at GUZ, submit responding evidence in an effort to reverse decision? this option is completely new to me. would appreciate being pointed in right direction for information on this.....

as for my fellow participants in this, keep the faith.....do your homework....READ and listen......

thanks....

Destiny comes to those that listen....Fate finds all others....
