Timeline

Just sent in I-751 . If it is not approved by my GC expiration can I continue to work? What would I show my employer -- does anyone have a link ?

You won't be approved by the expiration date unless you see a miracle happen.

You will receive a NOA that will extend your green card one year from the expiration date of your GC. It allows you to continue to work and travel. You should get it about 2 weeks after the submission of the paperwork. That is what you will need to show your employer to continue working.

If you don't get approved by the expiration date of that NOA, you need to make an infopass appointment and get an extension stamp in your passport.

It will be fine. Good luck in the rest of this journey.

We are in the same boat. We filed for my husband the first week in August. Our NOA came 2 weeks after we filed. The biometrics appointment was about 2 weeks later.
