AOS and EAD not received yet.....

Hi - I mailed our AOS and EAD applications November 5th. I paid for the delivery confirmation/receipt of delivery and I have not received anything back saying it has been delivered. Our check has not been cashed either. My question is how long do I wait before I stop payment on the check and resubmit another application? I don't know why I didn't have it overnighted, I didn't even think about it. I am so frustrated right now. If I stop payment and do another application and the original one is received and they try to deposit the check and it won't go through will that complicate the situation? Thanks for any advice.

I mailed it to USCIS, Box 805887, Chicago, IL 60680-4120. Is that the right address?

The address you sent it to is correct.

From the day I sent mine in, it took 7 full days until I saw the check amounts out of my account. If you sent on 5th, you sig says 6th, the soonest they would've received is the 10th, so you are on 8 days...I have a feeling you will receive NOA's soon and your bank account will reflect the amounts leaving your account.

03/01/2007 - POE - JFK (L-1 Visa)

01/15/2008 - Proposed

03/15/2008 - Married

09/02/2008 - Sent AOS Package (I-130, I-485, I-693)

09/03/2008 - Received - Signed by SMITH

09/04/2008 - Checks deposited

09/10/2008 - Checks cleared ($1010 + $355)

09/12/2008 - 2 NOA's received (I-130, I-485) - Dated 09/08/08

09/16/2008 - Received notice for biometrics appointment on 09/30/2008

09/20/2008 - Biometrics done - Walk in (Orlando) Took 10 minutes

09/22/2008 - I-485 viewable online (pending, of course)

09/30/2008 - Biometrics Appointment (2pm)

12/30/2008 - Received Interview Letter

02/25/2008 - Interview

03/06/2008 - Welcome Letter received (the website will clearly never send me updates!)

The check was cashed today!!! Whew! Now the rest of the wait begins. At least they have it now.

that's great! i'm still worried about my application. it was delivered on Nov 9 but until now the check has not been cashed. i really hope they have indeed received it. i'm thinking of calling them this Friday.

my best bet would be to wait some more......

like other user said... NOA's can take up to 30 days... they usually take a week and a half or two weeks to cash personal checks!!

good luck to us all... i sent mine on the 7th... got there on the 11th.. and until now... i havent received anything yet

11-07-08 ....... Sent AOS package to Chicago

11-11-08.........Packet delivered Yay!! (day 1)

11-20-08.........Money order's cashed!! (day 9)

11-26-08.........NOA'S in the mail dated for the 18th of November (day 15)

12-09-08.........Biometrics done! (day 28)

12-10-08.........I-765, I-485 touched! (day 29)

01-15-08.........EAD card production ordered! AP notice approval sent ! (day 65)

02-24-09.........Interview @ 12:00 pm !! (day 105)
