hello... happy to know we have the same situation here, so that we can share our journey in this visa thing..our case is still in the USCIS, we are waiting for the approval of it: this is how it goes ...My husband filed I-130 to me last June 2008 when he was still an LPR, he got his US citizenship last Feb. 26, 09..day after that my husband went to the local immigration office in CA to upgrade our case, the lady who entertained him fax the request to the USCIS..( Feb. 27 ).. we still did not hear anything about it, we are waiting for its approval from d USCIS and our NOA2... in fact my husband also send another fax last mnth to the USCIS in case the first one doesnt work.. just to make sure.. we are waiting now for any response..., how about you? ive read from some post that usually it takes 2 months for it to be approved, but some are 1 month half, some are more depend on d case...but USCIS processing time is 6 months...

Did you call the 1800 beside faxing the letter.

JUL 25, 2005: NOA1 received (receipt notice)

NOV 04, 2008: NOA2 received (approval notice)

NOV 04, 2008: Per USCIS, app sent to NVC

DEC 11, 2008: Spouse received NVC case #

N-400 CITIZENSHIP APP (7 months?!)

OCT 17, 2008: App mailed

NOV 04, 2008: NOA1 received (receipt notice)

NOV 22, 2008: Fingerprinting done (biometric appt.)

APR 27, 2009: Interview passed

MAY 11, 2009: Took oath

I-130 TO IMMEDIATE RELATIVE (IR1) UPGRADE

MAY 12, 2009: NVC received Upgrade request by mail

MAY 22, 2009: NVC generated Affidavit Of Support (AOS) fee Bill and DS3032

-------------->: Paid AOS Bill online ($70)... Waiting for "Paid" status

-------------->: Wife (Beneficiary) mailed DS3032

MAY 27, 2009: AOS Bill shows "Paid" online

MAY 28, 2009: Mailed AOS Form with supporting dox

-------------->: NVC received DS3032

MAY 29, 2009: NVC generated Immigrant Visa (IV) Bill

-------------->: Paid Immigrant Visa (IV) Bill online ($400)... Waiting for "Paid" status

-------------->: NVC received AOS Form with supporting dox

MAY 31, 2009: IV BIll shows "Paid" online

JUN 5, 2009 : NVC received DS230

:help: hi....thanks for the info, just to make it clear...in which office we will gonna call to upgrade I-130 filed by an LPR and now USC? we will call california service center? do you know the number to call? and for email, can i know the add? .. and also after upgrading it, how they will let us know it is already upgraded...is it in uscis online site? or they will also send us a mail...thank you soo much....just got confused in this coz of different things people said..i know you really knew it coz as what ive seen in ur timeline ur already done....congratz btw... and thank u again...hope i can hear any infor regarding this one...

i called ,faxed,and sent overnight mail with my certficate-which ever worked was less than week-did you recieve mail that your case has been upgraded?

LPR--12/29/2003

12/15/2004- civil wedding in kenya

10/12/2005-sent i-130

01/13/2006- received and given priority date.

waiting 2006/2007/2008

09/30/2008-- sent N400 for self

11/06/2008--biometrics

02/09/2009--passed interview but lady told me to got back with selective servise registration.

03/31/2009-oath ceremony dallas

03/31/2009--sent upgrade request via usps priority mail/fax/and called in

04/05/2009-called nvc automated system show case number shows visa number not available

04/17/2009--case number generated by nvc

04/21/2009--received ds3032 and AOS bill generated --happy

04/21/2009--paid aos bill-status pending

04/22/2009-sent ds3032 via email

04/23/2009-aos shows paid online

04/24/2009-sent 1-864 via usps mail--automated system indicate received ds-3032 on 04/23/2009

04/25/2009-iv bill generated and paid same day -in process

04/28/2009 status paid-printed coversheet and sent ds-230 usps next day

5/11/2009-two emails received -missing ds-230--cant log in website also

05/13/2009-called avr msg case completed on 05/12/2009[/b][/color]=25 days

06/03/2009=interview assisgned date 07/21/2009 7.00am nairobi kenya

07/21--interview approved to pick on 07/23 travel 07/24

07/25 6.30pm-hugged my wife dfw airport -thank God its over

I mailed, emailed and called them up to upgrade my petition, so far it's been a week already and still nothing, how long does it usually take for them to generate or do the first step in upgrading? I noticed most members here only took a week or less of waiting for their DS3032, AOS to be generated.. *sigh*
