We shall spend part of our honeymoon at my parents' home in the US Virgin Islands. The remaineder shall be backpacking and camping in a beautiful forest nearby my home. Nature is always welcomed by the two of us, and I wish to show her some of our beautiful parts of America.

We've been doing the same thing to keep ourselves occupied during the wait :)

We have no budget at all for a honeymoon, I'm hoping my parents will help us out. We were hoping to maybe take a weekend escape to a bed and breakfast on Vashon Island (near Seattle). Beautiful place and reasonably priced. We both really wanted to go to Canada, but seeing as he won't have AP yet, that idea is kinda out. We toyed with just getting our marriage done by a JoP and waiting for our wedding until a few months later and then maybe going to CA if he has AP at that time, but it's still kind of up in the air. It's fun discussing the possibilities though :)

Without AP it's hard to do something exotic, and with the cost of AOS it's hard to something at all. Nevertheless we had a great time at our honeymoon! We went to Utah, camping in Canyonlands and the Arches! It was beautiful!

We had wanted to go to Ireland or somewhere exotic, but without AP it wasn't possible. So we decided to keep the budget small and save up for a big trip later on. We had our wedding at a really nice hotel in the city where we live, then the honeymoon was just a few days' stay at the hotel.

It wasn't anything fancy, but was very, very relaxing. The staf was so nice and the place was beautiful, so it sort of felt like we were staying at a resort :) And because we'd had our wedding and reception there, they gave us a free night and a rate discount!!

"Я тебя люблю. Эти слова имеют мою жизнь в них."

Eligible for N-400 early based on Section 329 of the INA, Service During Hostilities

I have almost been married for a year and still no honeymoon. :P

We are hoping to go to France next year and then on a cruise. :)

AOS Approved on 10-17-08 (details in profile)

Removal of Conditions on 07-19-10

In this tedious process, we tend to forget that this is all worth it.

I love my hubby beyond anything in this world.

on the morning of our wedding Dave went to work; he came home at lunch time, we got married that afternoon, had dinner with the wedding guests (all five of them) and were home by 9.30pm :D

no honeymoon, and no plans, but just being together was such a novelty... and we'd already been to London, Prague, Paris, Lille, New Orleans and Sydney together; long-distance relationships have to have SOME advantages after all ;)

the point of all of which simply is: do what you want, and what you can afford... which doesn't have to be anything at all :)

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.
