dont worry, and dont lose hope. there are people here who waited way longer than u. we only had one touch in may and nothing since then. there are peaople who had several touches before they got the NOA1. I think that doesnt mean anything. the whole USCIS site means nothing. I think they update random, just to make it look like there is life there. many people got aproved and didnt see their files touched. but what I have seen here and didnt look fair to me is that they pick on names sometimes. I think there r threads on that. and the check tends to take longer in those cases. but I thikn there is not a rule. just some officers r more safety obsessed or xenophobic than others. good luck to u

Hi, hang in there, your approval will come soon...

While we were waiting for our approval, and some who filed later than us got theirs ahead of us, it felt bad, but we patiently waited and it just came when we least expect it.

Try to prepare what you will need for the interview, it will make you busy :thumbs:

I am also in the same boat...I guess June filers have not seen any response from USCIS...I got touched only once so far, but I believe that nothing but to keep the website look alive. I just checked the USCIS website, got even more disappointed when I found there is no change in I-130 processing time. They are still up to February 26, 2008. While, I have read many people getting approved who filed in April and May (based on the forum), and some were transfered from VSC to NSC this november.

Hopefully, June filers may have wait couple of months more to get approvals. So, lets start our journey togather on a same boat and we know our destiny but don't know how to move on.............................

No touches or any sign yet for us.

8/07 Met on myspace.

5/7/08 Married in Indonesia.

6/4/08 Sent I-130

6/11/08 I-130 received by Vermont service Center.

12/17/08 Touched and placed on hold. (Request For Evidence)

1/12/09 mailed requested evidence 2 Vermont

1/28/09 I-130 APPROVED!

2/9/09 AOS bill received and payed on line the same day.

Never received I-864 package (they don't mail them out anymore I had to take it all from NVC website)

2/20/09 completed and mailed DS-3032

((Some time lapsed because of wrong addresses and documents lost in the mail)) ARRRHG! :-(

3/13/09 Return completed I-864.

3/21/09 Received IV Bill.

3/22/09 Paid IV Bill $400.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
USCIS is unnecessary and a complete freaking waste of everybody's time. What did they do other than waste 7 months of our time and take money?-- because I now have to resubmit the exact same damn information(plus some) to NVC. Apparently there is no connection between USCIS and NVC so USCIS cant simply send our documents to NVC. I was happy to get approved by USCIS but now the process starts all over again only with more complications. Maybe someday I can meet these people in person and thank them face to face for f**ing up almost everything so far. Addresses incorrectly copied, email address repeatedly typed in wrong, names misspelled, ECT, ECT, ECT.
Hows about mandatory drug testing for all who are employed at NVC? All in favor?
I'm not sure what you mean by going out of 'timeline frame'.
VSC is on Feb 26th at the moment and you look as though you filed at the end of May?
Some cases take longer than others - sometimes I think it's because you are in a big pile of other files and they take a while to get to you.
We waited for nearly ten months at VSC without a touch before we were transferred to CSC and then we were approved within 2 weeks.
I know it doesn't make it feel any better to be told to be patient - I used to hate it when we were lost in the VSC black hole - but you are still within the current processing times.
You may see people who filed after you get approved before you - we saw loads of people who filed MONTHS after us at VSC be approved before us and it's really annoying. Unfortunately that's the way the system 'works' at the moment.
I sympathise with your situation - I'm so sorry you are still waiting - I hope you'll have some good news soon.
I've seen several people post on here that the 'touches' really don't mean that much or try not to read into them.
For me, on one hand, a touch does makes you think something is happening, but on the other hand, my touches I can basically trace back to a change of address or another petition (K3) being filed ... not like 'real' advancement on my case.
Best of luck to you ... and everyone here ... these 'family' holidays like Thanksgiving make it even harder being without your loved one :(
Well..I guess, I could understand what Isma meant...Actually there is nothing called "Time frame" while u r talking about VSC...rather u learn the word called "Patience" in the "Time Frame".
And, all I know, there is nothing much u can do until ur case being approved by the USCIS. Many VJs went to their congressman and senator, and came up with the same generic reply from USCIS!!!! "The case is pending and processing..................."
SO, if you really can find any other way out please share with us, cuz we all in the same ship of "Annoyance".
