What a happy KML!!!! I am so happy for you.

I have got the 2 year old grand daughter, Annalee, this weekend.

so i will be busy. I am just praying Hachemi gets his packet 3 soon.

I have asked to call or send an email to the embassy but he refuses. So hope they have not forgotten

to send it or we will be waiting for months, because he does not want to have their attention on him

Sure is sad to me when I see people approved after us already getting interview dates.

So I guess we will wait and wait and wait.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

I'm sorry it's sad for you to see that I have gotten my interview date. I don't really know what to say about that- I think it stinks that you said it. No one is stopping you from calling the Consulate. These are different Consulates so you really cant compare our dates. I'm sorry that you're sad- I know that I personally have never felt jealous or sad or upset that someone's good news came before mine. It's important not to compare too much because if your dates don't end up like other peoples you can get upset which I think you have. Don't take these things personally! I thought people would be happy for Hicham and I but I can see that maybe that is not the case. I hope you aren't really upset and I think you should call the Consulate.

Sarah - I am sure Meriem by no stretch of the imagination meant that she is not happy for you. Don't take these things so personally ;)

I'm not going to keep going on this because I know how things get in here. I can see that the firing squad is ready to attack. Anyways, I would never say that to someone that's all.

That's fine Sarah - I just thought maybe you should take some of your on advice. You certainly took what Meriem stated personally, and proceeded to kick her when she is down. Maybe offer her some support rather than assume she is speaking about you directly.

Sarah, I am not happy that Hachemi does not want

to email the embassy or call them. And has forbid me from doing it.

So no reason to be upset. Good Gosh I am happy for you. What can I say more????

Meriem- I like you a lot and I found that comment out of character. I don't want you to be sad when you hear other people's news, that's all. Like I said you can call the Consulate to find out what is going on. Each one is different so we really can't compare dates. I know you are happy for us but I truly do not want this news to make you sad. Chin up and call them on Monday to find out where packet 3 is. Don't worry Meriem you'll get news soon. I was surpsised that Casa moved so quickly for us. I don't know Algeria's record on sending out packet 3 but hang in there. Have a good weekend

I am not sad that you got your interview. I am sad that Hachemi is

satisfied to sit and wait. I am sorry you took my comment wrong.

It was not directed at you personally. I am just being impatient.

she never said YOUR success hurt her, so why are you taking her statement so personally??? It certainly seemed like a general comment. Maybe your flying a little high on your recent good news. I am pissed because Im waiting too! Am I also jealous of you?

PS. she already explained why she is not calling the consul. Maybe reading for meaning is causing some confusion here.

Happy Saturday to all !!

One thing you can't do here is take things personally. If you do you'll end up getting peeved off or hurt. That in itself is not worth the trouble. Of course we congratulate people or try to give moral support through typed words. Sometimes what we communicate on here is really not how we communicate in person. With that typed :) Don't take things personally even though you feel it is to you because it probably most likely wasn't meant that way.

I know for a long time we had a little safe haven here where just us gals from the middle east and north africa just hung out and nobody else from the other forums would even bother coming here. Nowadays it's the exact opposite. Hope you all don't give up on supporting each other through the good and bad times!

I hope to hear good news from you soon KML. Monday is so close.

Hey Meriem_setif (F)

If you don't mind me asking, why don't you go ahead and call the Consulate? I mean after all-it's YOUR petition ( as the USC)....Maybe I do not understand the way the Consulate operates over there ( sorry) but why would it draw attention to him, it's a perfectly normal thing to do , to find out what's going on.

It would drive me nuts with impatience if I were you too-I remember when you got your NOA2 and it does seem ages ago.....

I know the impatience is driving me nuts....we haven't even got our NOA2 yet.

hang on in there! (F)

PS I love the pic you posted in off-topic-you have every reason to be proud!

edit-WOW shon we were thinking the same thing at the same time...LOL

IK HOU VAN JOU, MARK

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!
