I've been having an awful time with this lately. By 1 or 2 pm, I'm worthless, and sometimes I nod off at my desk. I've been getting six or seven hours of sleep a night, but I've been breaking it in half, getting up when my husband gets home from work, spending a couple of hours with him, and then sleeping two more hours. The last two nights, I've been forcing myself to go to bed around 9 pm, getting up at 3 am when he comes in, then just staying up. I've been much more productive in the morning and haven't crashed in the early afternoon, so we'll see how it goes. I'm saving the food list though.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I love naps too and I think they are good...in moderation....like 30 minutes or less. Anything longer will contribute to insomnia.

Who are these people who can take a 30 minute nap? It takes me 45 minutes of laying in bed and de-stressing to be able to fall asleep. Then I have to sleep for at least 2 hours or I'm more tired when I wake up than I was before.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

People who can just fall asleep frighten me. It's like they aren't really human. They just "power down" like I imagine a cyborg would. People with Off switches scare me.

I don't lay in bed until I'm about to fall asleep on my feet. I crash out almost immediately.

I'm one of these. I lay down and relax for 20 - 30 minutes if I feel like having a nap. Beyond that, I feel like I'm just wasting time.

I can do it in the right setting...like going to my car, leaning the seat back and closing my eyes.

....

Studies show that 20 minutes of sleep in the afternoon provides more rest than 20 minutes more sleep in the morning (though the last two hours of morning sleep have special benefits of their own). The body seems to be designed for this, as most people’s bodies naturally become more tired in the afternoon, about 8 hours after we wake up.
