Hi Friends,

I'm getting ready to send of my I-485 packet and have two small questions for clarity. I've tried searching the boards for answers...

1. An attorney I consulted advised me to send the original translation of the birth certificate (with the original notarization/signature) - I'm not a fan of sending in originals, and I didn't even send this original in for the K packet, so it doesn't seem right to me. Do you think I need to send in the original translation, or am I fine with a copy?

2. In my search of the boards, it appears that the I-485 does not need to be notarized.... does anything in this packet need to be notarized... g325a, affidavit of support, etc?

thanks!

Nothing in the AOS filing requires notarization. I would send a photocopy of the translated birth certificate including a copy of the original in the foreign language and any certification. Then bring the original to the interview.
