tourist visa, passport problem!

Hello VJ,

Here the situation, My friend passport will be expired this coming January 2009 and her interview for permanent ( greencard) is on January 2009. So, the question which im confused was is this passport renewal wont be a problem for her interview? She told me that the expire passport is fine as long as you notorized with attorney is this true?

I don't expect so but if your friend is not going anywhere soon then why the need to renew?

hi,

if it will expires this coming 2009 of january tell her to renew it.....slec and usem will just return it back to her......i guarantee u that

it is always a reminder coming from department of foriegn affairs that u have to renew it 6 months before it expires and it will

takes 7 to 10 days to process a new one..........

Her passport needs to be valid for at least 6months, or else they ll return it, so get an expedited renewal, just a little more $$$
