I just wanted to say thank you to the ladies that stood up for me when things got bad in another thread recently (I'm sure we all got fired up). Most of you are so kind hearted, objective, sincere and I really appreciate that. I'm in a position where I really feel like I don't have a lot of friends (just people I sometimes talk to) and I felt like all of you stepped up and were my friends (even if only for a little while). I don't think I've been able to keep up with the MENA forums. In fact for a while I avoided them completely. It's like coming in on a tight knit group of friends and just trying to blend in. It's hard. I want to try to make friends with all of you. I want to participate more and possibly meet up with some of the Ohio MENA (and non MENA) members sometime. Anyway.... Thank you again. I hope to create friendships with most of you.

Btw... have any of us done "research" to see if our men know each other? I mean... I'm sure there are a lot of women married to Casablanca men in here and I think it would show what a small world we live in if all of a sudden we found out that our guys know each other. Just a thought.... :)

Leyla,

Although I missed all of the lip that went on here yesterday I'm glad to get to know you. I'm a fellow Ohioan so let me know if you ever want to do an Ohio meetup!

Tasha

I'm moving to a bigger apartment soon and decorating it! I'm thinking... Morocco meets Modern Cozy.... I'm so excited to decorate!!! Once we settle I've been wanting to have a party. I asked for a lot of cooking/hosting items for my wedding reception. If I get them.... we're partying like Moroccans!

Maybe we'll party like we're in MENA in 1999. Best of both worlds!

I'm already excited about this! There is a lamb leg in my Moroccan Cookbook I have been wanting to cook for a long time. It looks SOOOOO YUMMY. I think it's enough to feed an army. Seriously. It's a great cook book too. If anyone wants it:

I got mine at Half Price Books for $6 :) Holla!

 Your thread got side tracked, and became something that was never asked. I really hate to see someone getting judged for questioning things and seeking facts. How can a person learn and grow if they just accept what they were told by people that have no true knowledge.

As for our husband's, and anyone they know, my husband knows one other person's husband here on VJ. It was just a weird coincidence. :star:

'Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO, What a Ride'

I just wrote a blog about people judging others. You can't blame someone for searching and asking. :)

Sometimes I wonder if any of the Casablanca men went into my husbands cafe :) I know Casa is a big city but I still think it would be cool. Like the six degrees of MENA separation. haha :)
