Other meet up threads from other areas of the country seem to get so much more response than NE ones.

I guess what they say about unfriendly Northerners is true.

CHALLENGE!

You should have seen the NY thread by Alex

I'm from Maine as well, but my husband isn't here yet and probably won't be for awhile....... Boston would be fine with me its only about a 2 hr drive from here. Perhaps some of us from Maine could even car pool?? Just an idea!!

Hey i'm 40 miles NW of Boston in Leominster so anywhere would work for me too.

We have meetups with an international group i've run online for more than a decade now and we've done it in Boston a couple of times. Lots of fun. I guess the location would depend on the time of year.

I has been a while since I have been to quincy market. Thanks for the heads up!

Harvard Square would be perfect, I think. Good idea Niels Bohr!

Quincy Market is good too, although it does smell like pee.

Oh poor guys! I think a New England will be more collaborative.

My husband is from Africa. He wakes up to 70 degree weather and tells me it is chilly this morning. He is in for a rude awakening. But I plan to keep him warm at night. *wink

Did someone actually say "Yankees" in this thread??????????????? :o:ranting:

And yes, it is a pre-requisite for living in New England that you are a N.E. sports teams fan!

I started acclimating Russell over a decade ago, too him to his first sox v yankmes in 2003.... and now he's as big a fan as me! ;)

WEll I am a go getter and can do as much as I can from Maine. But we also need an insider???? Well someone from the area we will plan the meet and greet.

I will keep posting to keep this thread at the top for all to realize it has been started.

So who's gonna organize and stuff (MrsJibowu? I know you started the thread but not sure if you want to organize)?

And there's got to be more NE people here!

While I do live in NY, I'm in Buffalo, and have never considered myself to be living in New England. Plus, it is a fair trek to Boston. Sooooooo, although I'd love to attend a meetup I think it'd be a tad too far for us to drive, particularly in these winter months.

I'd be up for a WNY, Erie, PA and Eastern Ohio meetup, though!

Well I think we would get the best results in the Boston area, which is always great to visit.

You would be more then welcomed to join us.
