Done with class! He's giving us the week of dead week off and we don't have to do a news package! Happiest semester of my life! But I should work on my papers now before my meeting at 12:30 with ASL.

Hey I'm trying to sell some of my stuff online before moving to Egypt! Just 6 MONTHS! Can you tell I'm freaking excited!!! :D

So HLM, tell us what has been your biggest shock so far in the US. Anything weird that you have seen?

its not so hard to guess that IM IN LOVE WITH THE STREETS!!!!! LOL the cleaniness n the organization is really amazing!!! its funny everything else seems normal to me like the stores n the malls becoz in this decade in cairo we ve had so many bigger malls n bigger markets thats its almost the same! Also may be the ppl; actually i was very intimidated to go out with my head cover n ppl have been very polite n nice even tho they might not actually feel like that deep down but they manage to stay kind n not rude u kno and i know it all depends on where i live; concidering the city is all students n barley any locals its been great so far i can say :D

ETA:i was debating whether to add this or not but i was shocked to see hotels dont have security!!! in egypt EVERY single hotel no matter how many stars has security ofcourse becoz of the incidents we had in the 9Os. Hubby n i got into a heated argument over this n he became very defensive of his country when i didnt mean anything bad at all!! anyways

Is it snowing yet there HLM? I know Northwest Indiana got pummeled with snow last night - but that was lake effect snow......

2009-07-15 NOA1 for I-485, I-131, I-765 (USCIS rec'd date is 07-12)

2009-08-05 Case transferred to CSC

2009-08-12 no biometrics yet.......called on 30 day mark to report no biometrics, a service inquiry has been made on the case.....

2009-08-25 - received Biometrics appointment letter!

2009-08-27 I-131 (AP) approved

2009-09-15 Biometrics appointment

2009-09-15 EAD Card production ordered!

2009-09-23 EAD Card received

2009-10-06 GC approved/card production ordered

2009-10-13 GC received in the mail!

Ofcourse it has been raining for a couple of days and last night hubby came home freezing n saying he saw snow on top of roofs. but this morning was actually sunny n less cold than yesterday.
