Successful removal of conditions despite moving and minimal evidence

Just wanted to share our experience with everyone here, in the event that it may help someone.

Fyi, my timeline is filed under my husband's userid "Miwa" as I don't want to create duplicate timelines which may distort the statistics.

I entered in via a K-1 and had a successful AOS, where my green card receipt date was 09-19-06. This means that we could have filed for the removal of conditions by end of June 2008.

However, due to job changes and uncertainty of where we will be, we only filed the form after we moved on 07-15-08, i.e. we did our change of address filing together with the I-751 filing. Our evidence together with a cover letter and the form consisted of:

- Copy of our joint tax return,

- Copy of joint house lease agreement,

- Copy of declaration page of our car insurance with both of our names,

- Copy of a joint car loan bill

- Copy of boarding passes for Christmas trip to his parents place, Chinese New Year trip back to Malaysia and short vacation to New York.

We received the NOA a week after sending out the forms although the NOA date was 07-16-08. We received the biometrics appointment notification pretty soon after that but had to delay the appointment once because I was not in the country for the first biometrics date. I cannot remember what the first date was, other than it was on a weekday. The next biometrics appointment was scheduled on a Saturday and the place was completely empty on that day and the appointment went pretty quickly (no wait at all ).

We moved to our place (2nd move in 2 months!) on 09-15-08 and since the CA office timeline indicated that they were processing February applications we didn't pay much attention to it.

I received the notification of the approval of the removal of conditions today (09-17-08) with the approval date of 09-12-08 without needing to go for an interview (which we thought we may had to since I thought there wasn't much evidence to back our relationship). The greencard is supposed to arrive within 60 days. Of all 3 processes so far, this was the easiest (least forms to fill and least amount of evidence submitted).

I wish everyone good luck in their process.

Thanks for the congratulations!

Just wanted everyone to know that I received the green card today and they didn't take the 60 days!

i see you had enough evidence, not minimal

congrats

I was worried that it was minimal because of the guide and other posts here! My husband thinks the same as you and say that it is enough! :star:
