Try not to worry about it. It's not even been a month yet so give it some time! I know it's hard, but really you can't change it. I feel the same way about our EAD but I realize I can't make the system move any faster.

Do something to take your mind off the stress of waiting! Good luck...

Be confident that your check has been cashed. If you havn't done so already, go to your online banking system and check the scanned imaged of the cashed check. There you will find your WAC number that will allow you to check your status online.

If it's not there, consider contacting your fiance(e)'s state representative to inquire on its whereabouts.

Hopefully your NOA1 will come soon!

I agree it was not to long ago and sometimes it takes a while so BE patient. One thing you will have to learn is patiences because the visa process is long. The noa2 ALONE will take 4 to 6 months.

I have updated information finally. I don't have online banking and had to wait for 2 bank statements as the check was cashed just after a bank statement was mailed.

I did not want to call, I expected I would be passed around and put on endless hold. I decided to wait for the returned check in bank statement.

Today I got the bank statement and cancelled check back, found the wac number and checked online.

The report is: on November 17 they got "document" returned by Post Office as undeliverable! And I need to contact them within 180 days. Here is the exact copy;

Application Type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Current Status: DOCUMENT OTHER THAN CARD OR TRAVEL DOCUMENT BEING HELD FOR 180 DAYS SINCE RETURNED AS UNDELIVERABLE

On November 17, 2008, the post office returned your document I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) as undeliverable. We will hold it for 180 days from November 17, 2008 to allow you time to contact us. If you do not contact us at 1-800-375-5283 within 180 days, this document will be destroyed and you will need to file a new application or application for replacement with fee.

I think it is refering to the noa1. But almost sounds like they tried to mail the whole petition back?

Anyone have this experience? I think must be a clerical error on the address on the envelope? I double checked and I have my address correct on all the papers I sent in.

I will let you know what I find out after I call

Today I called USCIS. Seems all my suspisions were correct!

- NOA1 Was mailed

- My address was incorectly entered, (clerical error)

The immagration officer I spoke with was very nice! Once she discovered there error, she said she would send for my file, personally correct the address and send to me the NOA1

I asked if this has cost me any time? Her reply was it did not and should not. During this time it has just been sitting on a shelf along with all the others waiting their turn. She said she will make sure it is placed back into the correct order.

 it feels so good to finally know something!! I understand about the waiting game... but I have been waiting to be waiting LOL can't wait for step 2 till past step 1

Thank you all for you comments!!! So nice!!

I checked the status of my case online again today. It was touched today as the "Last Update" is listed as today. But the current status message has not changed. I don't think is anything to worry about, I will trust the officer and assume the message has not been updated.

Hopefully next week I will receive the noa1 :)

The message won't change unless you either get sent an RFE or you are approved. The date may change though as it is touched.

I am happy for all of you. But I see all October filers have their noa1. I mailed mine in on 10-23. I know they got. I know check cashed

Where oh where is my NOA1 :crying: Seems I am only K1 that did not get NOA1 yet :crying:

(F)Everybody understands that its painful to wait. You will receive your NOA1 soon too. Just be positive or it will mess up your mind.

We had a military expedite and they lost our file after the NOA2, I remember that was a very stressful time for us but we made it and now it just seems like a bad dream. You will feel the same once this is over. All the best
