Off the beat slightly... how many of you will think about having an Au Pair at home? If you are into paying loads of cash for a nanny anyway... an Au Pair I think costs you less over a 1-2 year time span as long as you have an extra room or an in-laws apartment to spare.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

You don't think the ad is odd?

please apply at www.APerfectNanny.com for immediate consideration.

There's a clue :)

That's what is odd to me, they want a surrogate parent. I find that incredibly weird.

why is that odd??

that site is a nanny agency...

which most parents want when they have to leave their children in the care of other people...

They want a perfect surrogate parent. The nanny doesn't have to believe in any of that stuff, just so long as she does what she's told. I still find it odd that anyone would want someone to live in and care - unless the parent is disabled.

caring for 3 babies at that young and specailly seeing as how one has special needs would be a lot of work...

I take care of 2 kids, one 5 months old and one 3 years old and that isn't easy :P I can't imagine caring for 3 babies at one time...

Wasn't all that long ago, taking care of 3 or more youngsters was... well, normal.

And that was back before washing machines and every other labor/ time saver was invented.

My dear Grandmother used to say

"A mans work is from sun to sun but a womans work is never done"

Here's to all those hard working woman of yesterday and today!
