Background checks AFTER the interview

My fiancee is scheduled to have her interview on the 26th. The Ankara Embassy says that even if security clearances are complete prior to the interview, the consular officer can still request further background checks. I've got to believe (hope) this is fairly rare and only done if some document needed at the interview was insufficient. Does anyone have an idea of how often a security check is initiated AFTER the interview?

Yes I'm hip to the fact that anyone coming from Iran WILL have extensive checks, but the Ankara website says (for the most part) that they would not schedule an interview if AP/AR was still needed.

Darstar,

They will schedule the interview for your fiance even if her security check is NOT complete. I dont' think they base the interviews on that. If by the time she has her interview the check isn't completed, she will be asked to come back. But I think with your timeline it will prolly be done.
