RFE's due to lawyer's mistake!!!

Hello everyone!!!

I have been very silent since I became member here in VJ's. I am only new to this website and have been very thankful that I found this very helpful site. Well as to everyone who viewed my profile recently, all of you noticed that I don't have any posts, nor did not comments on any of the topics. I was only reading and observing all the cases and problems to all of the members here. I am a July filers, actually our lawyer told us that our application was sent in June but it was posted for July 22, 2008 processing. Now I was in the waiting period of approvals just last week according to my timeline record...and yes, VJ's are true and very accurate with their timeline, based on my experience. I've been keeping an eye on the updates and have read and checking it a million times. Only last Friday, I found out that the Last Updated date on my case was being changed but did not affect on my status. I was very happy to see that they are touching our case and have been waiting for the result until the next day which according to my timeline, I could possibly get a result on the 14th of November. I stayed online and got an email from our lawyer. Well the waiting was over and the status result was emailed to me, both from our lawyer and the USCIS representative. I was very upset, angry and disappointed with the result because I never thought of it! RFE's never occured to me. I guess some of us here knows how we felt after getting those results.

Well I have to stay possitive and I am very thankful to my fiance Michael who has always been there for me and stayed possitive all the way. He took care of everything and comfort me even though I know we felt the same way... He sent email to our lawyer and was very upset and pissed off with the result.

Also a special thanks to Mike and Gracey for their very informative advice. It was very funny because we have the same couple name and we both hired lawyers and got the same situation. Everything they told us were very very helpful and I ought to post it here so others will also benefits from it. THANK YOU MIKE AND GRACEY FOR YOUR VERY GREAT ADVICE....

I have also noticed that most VJ members who hired lawyers have this problem... a big WHY is also being answered by the great adviser Mike and Gracey :thumbs: If I should have known this site before, I guess we cannot experienced all this problem but still we have to stay possitive and bear in mind that everything happens, happens for a reason:-) Though we will still be upset because we are hiring lawyers to make sure in everything, yet we got this problem.

To all VJ members, thank you for all your posts...keep posting all your K1 whereabouts so others will also benefit our experiences. Thank you for all your posts and suggestions. I truly find a very helpful site in VJ. Thanks to the organizer and to all the members.

(I'm going for the IR-1 and blowing off the K-3. Even if it takes an extra couple months, it's worth it to not have to deal with USCIS again)

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)
