Understanding USCIS Processing Times

Hmmmm. For K-3 visas the current processing time for I-130 is backlogged (Recieved I-130's) out of Vermont, it appears @ Dec 17, 2005. However there is a member here who submitted her I-130 on 2/9/06 who has to use the Texas Service center and her I-130 was approved 5/9/06, three months later..........HUH

I think the processing times refer to the oldest application they're currently working on. Lots of others will have already been approved and moved onto the next stage (NVC).

Look at the IR-1/CR-1 visas under "visa display options" in Immigration Timelines (above) to get a better idea of where they're at. You can type in any number of rows and then sort by I-130 NOA1.
