Hi!

I came in the States on Oct.25 with k1 visa.

In order to take my marriage licence from CourtHouse Louisiana I need my birth certificate translation from Ro to English,but they can accept a translation made ONLY by Romanian Consulate.

Nobody could help me with this translations.In Louisiana the consul can't speak Romanian...So I hade to call the Romanian Embasy from Washington.They can make it,The only pb is that they want me to send them by post office my birth certifiacte in original..Do you think I shoul trust that???

My wedding is pretty soon..What do you advice me to do???

Send it USPS Priority Mail - it should be fine. You don't have a whole lot of choices and down the road you'll need it translated anyway. :thumbs:

You could marry in the next state. Texas only requires photo id (passport) and Social Security number if you have one. The USC can show his/her drivers license. Must wait 72 hours from getting license until wedding.

And Isn't any pb with USCIS if we get married in another state?

By the way where else do I need the translation ?

I actualyy don't know excatly what are the next steps after getting married...
