I guess we have just outgrown that, although I don't see anything wrong with having nights out apart or drinks after work, I have done it plenty in my time. We do party a lot together at home though, we use the kitchen as a dance floor and karaoke like fools... neither of us like crowded clubs or anything like that. I guess we are just sad and old

I want to come over to your kitchen!

:secret: I heard she charges a cover charge and makes weak drinks....

The every night, all night poll choices were a lint trap, and considering they racked up 8 ticks each within the first five minutes or so, they seem to have done their job. ;)

I work days, he works nights until 2:30, has two or three nights off a week. One night a week out alone with expat friends from his country seems reasonable to me since we don't see each other much during the work week, and when we do, I'm half asleep. When the one boys' night out was turning into two, sometimes out until 3:30, it was making me feel sad. No question of fidelity - I trust him implicitly and I know his friends. It's also a cultural thing, although he didn't stay out this late regularly before he moved here and always described himself as a homebody. The job has adjusted his body clock. We're good, talking it out and finding a compromise. He didn't want a lecture from me, but when I stopped pushing and started finding things of my own to do, he started compromising and giving me more attention without being asked, so it's all good. He didn't marry a nag, and I'm not going to turn into one. Anyway, just wanted to get an idea of what arrangement works for most folks, and it looks like I'm not wishing for too much. Although my own dad was always home for dinner and afterward (so naturally that's my ideal arrangement), I certainly think my husband should have a night a week to go out with his buddies and speak his language, even an occasional really late night out, but I need my turn in his company too :P Thanks for the input everyone.

Really Cherry? It's really not acceptable for either of you to spend time out with friends away from each other?

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Well, Pras does go to a Bible-study on Thursdays--but this occurs in daytime, and the poll question specified night.

I presume you're at work then, Cherry? So you'd be apart anyway during the day.
 (doubly covered in the question anyway)
