Since Bren doesn't let me go out because my place is in the kitchen I will not participate in the discussion :(

Would suck without shoes, too. And pregnant!

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

We prefer to go out together, which is every now and then.

He goes out without me when he's on a trip. In here, he went out only once that I remember, that I was working til 2330 and he was working til like 2000, so they left work and went out for a beer.

I don't go out without him at night. I went out for drinks a couple times with my american best friend in here, but in the afternoon.

I think it's acceptable at most once a week. And for like 2, 3 hours. Like if he leaves work at 6, i don't see why he'd need to stay out after 11. What does a married man have to do that lasts more than 3 hours? How many drinks can you have in 3 hours. that's more than enough.

Since Bren doesn't let me go out because my place is in the kitchen I will not participate in the discussion :(

What???

I don't go out with the guys, because I don't have any guys to go out with. Almost all of my friends are in Indy or elsewhere. Plus, I just don't "go out". I don't drink much, I hate sports, I don't go to t*ttie bars, I don't do much of anything that would warrant a night out.

It's funny how you can get totally the wrong impression about peeps from their internet personas. See, I had you down as a beer swilling, Colts jersey wearing, Larry Flynts regular, Platy.

We like to do everything together so never feel the need to go out without each other (that is, when we are together).

Ditto - 'er indoors is like my best mate as well as my missus. We have (well, had) season tickets at the Rams, and have been to many Cardinals games together too. Add the fact that we love the same music, and you can see why it works.

As Platy says, I'll probably go out with my friends at work once a week or so. Normally just for a couple of hours to chill out after a nights' work.

I enjoy Platy's company, but I also enjoy my friends' company too.

Hubster palys cards with the boys every Friday night. They rotate whose house they play at. He'll come home anywhere btween 1-3 a.m. I don't mind it actually, because I get a night all to myself. On average he has anywhere from 1 to 4 concerts or gigs per month that he'll go to that I'm not interested in, so he goes mostly with a few friends from work. He could get home anywhere from 11pm to 1am, depending on the band. Occasionally he'll stop at a pub near work with his work buddies after a hard day and maybe stay there for an hour or so.

He's a night person and I'm not though, so the regular things I do without him.... my book club, afternoon tea with the girls, cooking classes don't tend to keep me out late... lol If I'm going out with the girls for dinner, I'd be home probably by 9pm

We don't do everything together because we had individual tastes and interests prior to hooking up, so don't feel the need to do everything with each other.

I'm a little shocked that 20% of the people feel that it's not acceptable to spend any nights out.

Seems a bit stifling.

I agree. IMO a relationship shouldn't be a prison nor a "controlled environment".

I go through phases.. sometimes I go out a few nights a week, sometimes it's once a month. On average though, it's about once a week.

My fiance doesn't mind, and why would he? He doesn't control me, he wants me to have a good time with my friends! :)

He doesn't go out because he doesn't have anyone to go with but I wouldn't mind if he did. When he visits England, he comes out with my friends and it's amazing to be able to have that.

I guess we have just outgrown that, although I don't see anything wrong with having nights out apart or drinks after work, I have done it plenty in my time. We do party a lot together at home though, we use the kitchen as a dance floor and karaoke like fools... neither of us like crowded clubs or anything like that. I guess we are just sad and old

I want to come over to your kitchen!

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.
