WAAAAIT...wait...wait wait wait a minute here people!! :)

USCIS has a way around the financial constraints thingymajig. If you really do not have the money - if you really cannot afford to file, why not just apply for a fee waiver.

Yes, that's right folks - a Fee Waiver! They're wonderful things. I got my AOS done using one, because my then husband and I did not have the money either. Look into it - basically what you need to do (in a nutshell) is write a nice letter to USCIS saying "I'm sorry, we cannot send money - we're too poor...we are instead applying for a fee waiver in the total amount of $X". There are actually templates to help you do this. It's completely legitimate and put into place for people such as yourselves (and me at the time) so that we are all able to file.

I could dig up some information on this but I think you guys would be able to as well - simply type "USCIS fee waiver" into google and see what you come up with.

They accepted my/our fee waiver no problem at all. I adjusted status, no problem at all.

Hello

This website is really helpful for everybody. Last month I introduced this website to a friend and he is really grateful to get in visajourney. Keep up the good work guys.

As in my case I'm still waiting to have enough money for AOS. I wish I could file AOS next month. I am so worried every single day about my situation. Thank you for the inputs.

I feel bad for you... But I think calling USCIS would help you or why don't you go to USCIS.GOV and get an INFOPASS, you can make an appointment to talk to someone (a real person) at the USCIS regarding your situation and maybe they will be able to give you better advice and help you with stuff. You don't need any of the proof for your marriage until you are called for an interview. At the moment, find the way to get the money real quick and file to adjust your status. If you;ve been married for two years then you will qualify for a 10 year card, which is awesome. Look into this... Don't rest until you get something done.

Hello VJ memebers,

I'm back again. I'm so thankful to the Lord Almighty that I have the money for AOS right now in my hand. I have a cousin who let me borrowed that amount. Now I am gathering all those requirements for AOS. I am just so excited of it but I still don't know what address do I have to send my documents. I live in Georgia.

Secondly, I have questions on form I-485 on part 2. I am a K-3 visa holder and I cannot find my category on the list. Do I have just live it? Another question in part 3 number 2. Do I have to check the 'yes' box where it says (are you likely to recieve public assistance in the future?) Please VJ members I need your advice.

May the Power of the Holy Spirit bless us all.

Phel
