OOOOH...I can finally reply to this thread...

As some of you may know, it was hubster's b-day on Friday. So the two of us celebrated on Firday evening by going to a nice Greek restaurant in our city's Greektown.... flaming cheese, Greek beer, spinach pie with feta, dolmadas (sp?), some Greek sausage and roasted lamb....MMMMMMMMMMM, the Greeks do some fine cooking!!! Hubster opened pressies and then we had a nice rest of the evening at home... errrr, you ain't getting anymore dtails! :P:devil:

But then yesterday, I had a surprise party planned for him. It was held at his favorite Ex-pats pub with a little bit of family and his buddies and their wives. He was truly surprised! It was so cool to see. I'd ordered hot appetizers (most importantly some proper British sausages), there were darts to play, table footie, his card plying buddies brought their cards, we drank, my mum decorated the party room at the pub with some Happy Brithday stuff, and people gave him some nice gifts.... I think it was a nice party that everyone seemed to enjoy and most of all it was a great surprise for hubster and whew....I didn't blow the surprise (nor did anyone else) and I was worried about that. Surprises can be nerve wracking to pull off! hehehehehee....but when they work well...they are a lot of fun! :dance:

Not got anything planned for today except for a bit of a relax, hopefuly hubster will hook up my new scanner and hopefully we can have a nice meal at some point today... :D

:lol: Sometimes when there is no good TV, I wish we had a police scanner to hear what's going on in the neighborhood if we hear sirens.... ooops! That's my nosey side coming out! :lol::blush::lol:

awww the party was a great idea, and sounds like you had a LOAD of fun!!! wooo hooooooo! I need to call the grocery today and ask how much it will be for a couple dozen cupcakes for Corey's bday tomorrow..if not, a regular ol' cake will do I guess....

Yeah, I just really wanted hubster to have the best b-day possible being the first one without family.... :( We'll be calling them today though and probably having a web-cam conversation. mmm, cupcakes... I hope Corey has a nice b-day...I'm sure you'll make it special.
