working on the house,,,

Dean, seriously, we'd expect a bit more enthusiam here.

Like so: We'll be working on the house. :energetic: :D

:hehe:

We are having a semi-lazy Saturday (read: I am working on the move while Nani spends the majority of the day in bed and on the phone) and tomorrow we're invited for lunch at her cousin's place and for dinner at our friend's house. Sounds like an inexpensive weekend to me... :P

well my brother soon from tampa, i have none. .sanita decided to turn one of the larger closets into a linen closet..meant work for me. .4 ..6 foort shelves installed..

of course, i ###### my fingers up good with the hammer..and taught sanita some new words in a loud fashion........but finished it off..time for some beers...

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I'm sure Sanita appreciated both the new linen closet as well as the addition to her vocabulary.

But, hey, the beer in the end makes it all bearable. B)

We're planning on a lazy Sunday! Got to bed after 3, and got up at 6:30....went rummaging by 8, and we were out until 1 with that. Mom took Corey back with her to mow their lawn, while I studied for 2 1/2 hours and then took my online class test...it's timed, so I like to be alone for that....88/90 just like the first one..wooo hoooo! :) Takes a bit of studying, but worth it in the end! Have to wait for him to grade the final 10 points...essay portion. Then, went out to Mom/Dads to pick Corey up...called dentist again as I couldn't reach him this am(stupid abcess!!!) and he's SUCH a great guy..anyway, called me in a prescrip for antibiotic...went into town about 15 miles to pick THAT up, and also got Corey's bday present...he stayed back to mow another neighbor's lawn..she hires him. He got a line on another today..he's trying to start a regular lil' business...good for him! Picked up KFC on the way home, and here we are...sigh!! Been a fun day! (except for that test!) but it's been run, run, run for 14 hours or so now...ready to just CHILL out! :) Hope you're all havin' a good weekend too...sounds like! :) M.

PS..picked up a hair dye to do my roots again too..so my husband recognizes me instead of the gray-haired lady..heheheheheh ;):)

Oh yeah, all is well here. Actually, I think we'll head out to the pub for a minute or two. I could use a cold one (or two :P ) and the pub is only a two minute walk away. Gotta do some convincing real quick... ;)

:( Damnit! The pub is already closed for the evening. It's just after 10:00pm and it's Saturday. It used to be open until 1:00am or thereabout but apparently they cut back on the hours. It's just that little bar in the clubhouse of our apartment community. It's pretty nice. No microbrew or anything like that but they have a couple of beers on tap, a big screen TV, a nice crowd there, it's inexpensive and within a two minute walk from our place. Too bad they close so early these days. :(

So, here I sit drinking my bottled Warsteiner instead. Not the same but it's okay.

We ended up relaxing most of the day, then tonight we had a few good friends over. A bunch of us(me, sujeet, and 2 others) got free hair cuts from one of them who is a hair stylist. :D It was really really fun. Then they discussed how all of us should move to a new state(Tennessee seemed to be the fav for cheaper prices and mountains), but only if we'd all move at the same time. They just left 20mins ago. Time for bed then church tomorrow.

Married since 9-18-04(All K1 visa & GC details in timeline.)

I went to a wedding. It was for my ex-husband's sister. My seven-year old was serving as a junior groomsman. I thought it would be kinda awkward and weird, but it totally wasn't. Guess that was just my vanity, thinking my divorce would cast an eternal pall over my husband's family, lol.... But, life goes on, and everyone was very gracious. Was kind of a strange amalgam anyway, lots of exes and extended family there. But a wedding is a time to just forget about it all and celebrate, yanno? Helped that my ex himself didn't go, too :whistle: .

But, my little man made me very proud... While he looked a bit like a vetriloquist dummy in his little tux, he played the role perfectly, and even humored my by dancing in the conga line and the "Shout" song with me.

Poor kid was so tired, by the time we got home at 6:30, he crawled into bed and asked me to tuck him in because he couldn't keep his eyes opened. That NEVER happens on a weekend!!!

Here is is mugging for the camera at the beginning of the day, then at the end, when he'd eaten and danced for hours (as evidenced by the chocolate all over his face from the chocolatepost-8914-1149421714_thumb.jpgpost-8914-1149421929_thumb.jpg
