Question about Egypt Embassy

Cairo Embassy is something no one has yet to figure out. There is no rhyme nor reason to their messed up way to doing things. It will not hurt to stay in contact with DOS as well as the embassy. True, DOS also gives out canned answers depending on who you talk to, but at least if things really start dragging you can always ask them to put in an inquiry .

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

That means you're in AP. You call DOS from now on.

I will ask your firgiveness if this seems rude, and thank you for taking the time to respond, but I have to disagree with your answer....

My husband comes here to read these posts from time to time, and your answer will scare him to death...so I will say this:

I have found several people that have actually been through this process that received the same responses and had their visas in a short time after. I even saw where someone got this answer and had the visa the same week.

Is there anyone else that has actually had their interview, and emailed back and forth with Cairo that can share their experience with me?

Thanks again Olivia, I do appreciate your time

I don't quite understand your response to Olivia. She was not being unkind in any way. It sounds as if your case is either in AP or AR. It is a common part of the process that almost all of these men go through before getting the visa. There is nothing for your husband to be scared about since this is so normal. If it is in AP/AR then calling the DOS can give you the status of the checks.

Didn't he receive a paper after his interview explaining what to do or expect?

Yes, never admit you are wrong or apologize to anyone you've inappropriately maligned... that's the way to do it.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

I signed up for the DHL tracking. I knew the minute it left the embassy and when it even moves from desk to desk within the embassy as they scan his packet. Put in his DHL tracking number on the DHL website.
