:(

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

"Please don't bring your teenager to Nebraska," Gov. Dave Heineman told CNN. "Think of what you are saying. You are saying you no longer support them. You no longer love them." Watch as lawmakers convene to change law »

Hey, this isn't Disneyland. Mom, come bacccckkkkk!

Tysheema Brown drove from Georgia to leave her teenage son at an Omaha hospital.

"Do not judge me as a parent. I love my son and my son knows that," Brown said. "There is just no help. There hasn't been any help."

She managed to drive all the way to Nebraska to dump her kid because there wasn't any help available in Georgia.

Oh I heard this on NPR yesterday. Quite sad, eh?

Unbelievably.. the statistics in that article are quite mind numbing.

"The Department of Health and Human Services published a background profile on 30 of the 34 safe haven cases. The report found:

# Twenty-seven children have received mental health treatment;

# 28 children come from single parent homes;

# 22 children had a parent with a history of incarceration; and

# 20 of the 30 children are white; eight are black."

I just keep thinking of the teens I've worked with over my life.. now it wasn't a parent /child relationship but I've been through some stuff with these kiddos.. My heart just breaks for the teens involved...

Not really. What can be better for a kid than a Nebraska hospital?

Depends... Were the parents smokers or not? If yes, ANY place is better :jest:

them bad smokers! spankbottom.gif

The other day a man agandoned an infant in the restroom of a McDonald's in Charlotte. Why McDonalds I have no clue. NC has Safe Haven laws for infants that can be left at hospitals.

Honestly, dropping off an infant to a hospital I can understand. But driving across country to drop off your teenager in Nebraska...? crazy...

divorced - April 2010 moved back to Ontario May 2010 and surrendered green card

PLEASE DO NOT PRIVATE MESSAGE ME OR EMAIL ME. I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT CURRENT US IMMIGRATION PROCEDURES!!!!!
