I am a US Citizen and on On October 2, 2008 I filed an I-130 for my parents, who are inside the US on an Investors Visa the past 10 years. We received notificaiton on Oct. 6 that they got our petition. Now we're just waiting. Are my parents allowed to travel while waiting? They have a vaild Investors visa. Or will they need to apply for advanced parole? They want to travel back to the Philippines for Christmas for a month, and already bought a ticket last year, long before we decided to file the I-130.

We did NOT do any i-485..not sure why... i thought maybe we should just wait for the i-130 approval since the waiting time is only 6 months supposedly and they're already in the USA legally anyways...

Actually the Investors visa (EB5) is a dual intent visa... to obtain LPR status you could have simply filed the I-485.. No I-130 required (as far as I can tell)
