Pineapple is pretty much the only fruit I've tried that I can't stand.

I don't really like the texture of citrus fruits, but I do like the taste. I love orange juice, but prefer it with no pulp.

I haven't been brave enough to try durian yet. The smell keeps me away.

I'm always amazed at the variety of fruits I've found while traveling in China:

Lychee, yeah, sort of like an eyeball, but actually pretty good.

Mangosteen, very thick purple peel, but like a sweet white citrus fruit inside, without the pulp.

Pitaya aka Dragon Fruit, big pink banana-ish thing, grows on a cactus, with not much flavor.

Loquats, juicy and messy but probably my favorite.

Jackfruit, the largest tree fruit in the world. The one I tried was so sweet I couldn't eat much at a time.

Java apples, look kind of like an odd shaped tomato, but are crunchy like an apple. Not much taste.

I've tried two different varieties of banana in southern China that are much better than our standard Cavendish.

Also a little melon, I don't know the name. Sort of like a small cantaloupe, but you eat the whole thing, rind, seeds and all.

Southern China has probably at least 20 very different varieties of mango, ranging from the size of an egg to the size of a cantaloupe, and all different colors.

I've seen a lot more that I haven't tried yet, and I'm probably forgetting a few as well.

grapefruit, can't stand the juice even more.

yeah I really don't know how people can eat or drink grapefruit.. ugh...

I happened to like it.

There are genes that differentiate your tastebuds from others around you. Don't worry if you cannot eat or drink it.

Not a fruit person...I like strawberries, raspberries, green apples, and grapes. But that's about it :)

Fruits that I hate:

Richard Simmons.

He went to the same school as my husband.

:o

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Pineapple but only because I am allergic to it. I can smell it from a mile away too.

Dragonfruit is also a fruit I don't like because it dries my mouth out.

Donne moi une poptart!
