Prosecutors say a man shot by his best friend 45 times lived through the first 32 shots.

They highlighted the findings of pathologists at Freddie McDowell Jr.'s murder trial Thursday after defense testimony claimed the 24-year-old man suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder, The Winston-Salem Journal reported.

Authorities say McDowell killed 19-year-old Drew Howell at a mountain home in Wilkes County, N.C., in June 2006.

McDowell's attorney says he acted in self-defense and was abused as a child.

But prosecutors showed photos of Howell, who was shot in the eyes, groin and chest with a .38-caliber revolver, and pointed out that McDowell cleaned the cabin before police arrived.

Prosecutors are expected to give their closing arguments Friday.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

But your honor, I was still scared after I shot him 31 times besides 45 is my lucky number.

A clean murder scene is happy murder scene I always say.

This is why if I say that I do not want anchovies on my pizza, there had better NOT be any anchovies. BFFs come and go, but death by nasty, salty fish is forever.

Ok, so the guy's friend put the move on him. Hence the shots to the groin. Then, he was still alive and giving the guy this hurt look that he just couldn't take. Hence the gunshots to the eyes. The rest were just to make sure the motherf##ker was really dead.

unless it was a 5-shot revolver. then it would be 8 reloads (first 5 were from a pre-loaded cylinder).

So if he had a box of 50 rounds ... he had enough left-over in the box to reload the revolver before he left the scene. Or ... he took 5 practice shots before visiting his friend and only had the 45 rounds remaining in the box.

WHATEVER! 7 or 8 reloads... Does it really matter?

One shot by your best friend is bad enough.

And then using a childhood abuse defense....sickening!
