Cheers to all,

First I would like to thank and congratulate all of you for such a great source of info.

Well after being married for the past 4 years I'm tired of being alone so I will attempt to aquire a K-3 spousal visa. I am in the process of filling out the the form I-130 for submital to Nebraska. However on line 15 of the form it asks of a present employer. Are they requesting mine or hers. The line is under "her " side of the page. I would apreciate any help as not to get rfe'd right off the bat. Also does anyone know how picky they are when it comes to the photos ? she's having a hard time with the village photographer to get the dimensions exactly right. Thanks in advance for your help. I'll post a time line when I get my first NOA.

Have a great day, Mike

If the question is at her side then it is her employer. You can say N/A or NONE if she is not employed.

Mike,

Note that the question is in section C of the petition, Information about your relative.

The USCIS is not as picky about the photos as most consulates are.

Mike,

Yes, you write information about your wife on her side, which is, Section C, information about your relative. On I-130, all information to your right hand side are pertaining to her and left hand side are pertaining to you. You can write her current employment information (Employer, position, address, etc), if she is employed. If not, "N/A" would suffice it. If you need more space, you can enter the info on an extra page. Make sure, you sign and date the extra page, if you need to use one. Please make photocopy of the I-130 before you send it out, as you would need to write almost same information when you will fill out I-129F for K-3 (spousal visa).

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

Thanks guys that's what I thought but I am so new I wasn't sure. How about my son and the I-129f is he automatically included or do I have to file a seperate petition for him. We were trying to get him a US passport but the consulate in mexico city are very hard to deal with. I've been back twice and everytime they request new and different docs. After dealing with them I'd rather get him stateside and file a I-130 for him. What do you all think?

Thanks, Mike

chelys,

All children of the beneficiary are to be listed in Q C.15 of the I-129f.

If the child is a USC then the child ought to get a US passport, not a visa.
