I'm confused about how I will need to enter the U.S after we get our visa? Is it best to fly or to drive? Are there only certain boarder crossings you can cross at? If I fly do I still need a 2 way ticket or can I just buy a one way? What is it going to be like at customs when I cross with a visa? Is there any chance they can deny me entry even with a K1 Visa?

I know lots of questions, but any help would be appreciated. THANKS!!

There are no special considerations for travel. Do as you please.

While a visa is not a guarantee of admittance, it is quite rare for a K1 holder to be denied entry.

You can drive or fly to the U.S. and use any border crossing you wish.

You can purchase a one-way ticket if you wish.

Still Waiting...: The Truth about Immigration (Funny but true!)

As everyone says, it doesn't matter where you enter. Remember that your household goods can't preceed you. As well, if you're driving you need to have a letter from the manufacturer of your car to say that it's in compliance. As another poster said, having your pets vaccinations up to date and proof of that is also required.

Get a return ticket if you want. They're often cheaper than a one-way.

Come over to the Canada forum here on VJ for tips on moving and immigrating to the US. Lots of people have excellent guidance for moving trucks, U-hauls, and the ins and outs of making the move.
