A more interesting question might be, how many times did you take your written test before you passed?

I, the USC, had to take the test in my state when I moved here about 3 years ago. Failed the first time, passed the second.

My wife, the alien, from a non-English speaking country although she is reasonably fluent and literate in English, took the test in English and passed on the first try.

Still waiting for our cards...Had to file I-90 as they sent them to the wrong address.

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.

I will admit it was me who voted 5. But honest it was not all my fault!! I had some very unfortunate things happen. Like a car stall out in the intersection leaving me behind on a red light.

But now I am a good driver. I even have a class 4 and a school bus endorsement!

I passed the driving portion right away, but crashed the car 1 month later while merging onto the freeway. Avoided freeways for 6 months after that.

So it's not a good indicator of how good of a driver you are.

09-02-2005 Applications for AOS, EAD, and AP received by MSC

10-21-2005 AOS fingerprint notice for 12-08-2005

11-07-2005 AP approved

12-05-2005 Infopass appt at San Jose office for interim EAD -- Refused, because it is already approved by MSC on 11-07-2005

12-07-2005 Attempt at interim EAD at San Francisco office -- no go. Back to San Jose, where CSO (chief station officer) tells they will contact MSC via email to request permission to issue interim EAD

12-08-2005 Biometrics for AOS and EAD. Having no EAD appt letter was no problem (used EAD NOA)

12-15-2005 EAD arrived in the mail

12-24-2005 Received interview letter; interview scheduled 03-01-2006

01-28-2006 Received replacement SSN card in married name (5 wks since application)

03-01-2006 AOS interview -- approved; received stamp in the passport

03-13-2006 Green card arrived in the mail

i took the written test at school and passed first time, and had a waiver and never took the road test....had my license since 16 and never crashed (knocks on wood)

Filed DCF in Jordan from 7-05 to 3-06, Approved for I-R1.

Immigration Free until 2008.

Once in Jamaica (road test waived in the US). To be quite honest, all I did to pass was to drive around the block. That could've been a bad thing, but luckily, only been in one bang-up, and it was not my fault (rear-ended at a red light).
