Good morning everyone, after been working so many hours this week and checking VJ from time to time, I'm here checking my emails and trying to have an infopass appoitment, I don't have a good luck seems the site is down.

Any plans for the weekend ?

Happy Friday! I hope to do some VJ catching up this weekend! Hubby is starting a job tomorrow but he is sick with a sore throat! I pray that he decides to break down and go to the doctor for some meds and feels better.

Any good plans this weekend? The kids have a skating birthday party to go to. House cleaning and grocery for me.

Yes, it's just a temporary job at Kohl's Distribution Warehouse. He will work until the end of the year on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6am to 6pm. It's a start and money and we only need my sister to watch Malek one day so it saves us on daycare. We are still hoping that something permanent comes up but until then this will work. He isn't used to manual labor so I am sure that the weekends will be a little touchy but heyyyyyyyyyyy, he could be sitting at home on his butt still!!!

Usama's first job was temporary too but it was awesome because he learned so much about life here and hey a paycheck's a paycheck! He's going for his driver permit test in a few hours so cross your fingers! I think a license opens up a whole new world of opportunities!

Thanks Bridget and KSA2USA...I think it will definately be an ego booster. Hubster has had his learners permit for a few months but still has to pass the driving exam. He has one more time then he has to wait 6 months. He makes silly mistakes when he drives with the examiner! I suggest some student driving Bridget. Ayman has an hour and a half on Monday with an instructor. My driving school apparently isn't good enough :blush: He will take the next exam 11/22. I think with a job and a drivers license he will feel so more independent and not like a prisoner in my jail!! J/K.

Woohooo Tasha!! That's great news and you never know, maybe they will be so impressed with his work ethic and such that they will find him something permanent after the end of the year!!! :thumbs: I'm really glad to hear that he found something!!

Happy Friday MENA!!!! :dance: I'm just so happy and hyper this morning it should be illegal. There's no reason really, but hey I'll take it!! Hubby's job is still going great. His managers are absolutely in love with him and he got to send money home for the first time yesterday since he's been here and that put him in a super good mood. He had borrowed some money for immigration costs, plane tickets, etc and he was finally able to take some of his pay and send it home. His papa was funny though - Did you pay the rent? Did you pay the electric? Did you buy food? Did you buy your wife something? Jihed said :unsure: what are you talking about? His Dad said I'm just checking we don't want you to send any money unless everything is fine there. Then he finally admitted they had been paying the loan back (which we didn't know) He has such a sweet family :luv:

Saturday my Dad is taking Jihed, Aaron and my brothers to a big waterfowl festival in Maryland. Jihed was excited because he's a bird freak, but then I informed him these are the birds that they hunt and kill and he was :blink: totally mortified! LOL But still he's eager to go. And it gives my Momma, me and my grandmother the day together to do some girl stuff. I think early Christmas shopping is in order.

I hope that you all have a GREAT weekend!!! Praying for more good news next week. I love opening up the MENA forum and seeing "approved" and "visa in hand" Makes my heart all mushy (L)
