I am happy to report that my husband is here!:dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

We recieved the visa on Nov 2 and proceeded to finish the re-medical, the passport printing and buying plane tickets.

I am RELIEVED this horrible thing called AP and visa journey is OVER. They told my husband at POE that he would get his greencard and ss in 3 weeks. Everything went well in the end, no problems at POE.

I am thankful to have a good November update.

I am praying for all of you who are still in AP that it is over soon. 13 months have been hard on us but we are able to put that behind us, learn from it, and start a life which we wish to make successful.

Keep your believes and do not let negative thoughts enter your mind, there IS an end to AP and we are livn proof that even after 13 months the visa can be issued and with the corrected IR-1 catagory.

God bless,

Tam

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

It took me a week to believe it, but the AP head ache spot in my head is still there. May take more time to sink in that I don't need to e-mail the embassy every week. I am thinking of you Cassandra, and everyone here.

I see more and more how unfair it looks outwadly when people from same consulates get visa same day, others wait 2 months and other over a year but the best thing to do is let go of the hurt once you are together again, but keep in mind that life was never fair to begin with and whoever said that needs to get smacked.

Belinda- thank you. You helped me when I had no other human source. May you get everything you want in this life.

Overall, keep the faith in the Almighty, no one and nothing can hurt you if you have this belief. I know I am not saying e-mail the embassy and start a petition and solve the probllem that way (cause I have done it all) but as this is my opinion and my belief, if anyone of you who I have helped and listened to, have any trust in my words, I ask you to look inside and remember why you are willing to wait so long for your love, and believe that this visa will come soon.

Every one of these visas, will come soon, Insha-Allah/God-willing.

Tam

I know you from what you said about Dawn in MENA, you have compassion and you care about people who you have never seen - a weakness that I have myself :).

Thank you for your prayers. Every single action, and every sinlge prayer, propelled my husband and I here today. I hate getting teary during posts, which happens very often, but thank you, and I wish that you will get the very best.

God bless,

Tam
