I hate brussel sprouts 'yuck' and eggplant makes my mouth itch. I used to love broccoli but since preggo - csn't stand it either. Not a fan of mangoes (yeah, completely unacceptable as an Indian - I am supposed to love 'em!)

Where to start indeed....? LOL

Brussel sprouts

Broccoli

Asparagus

Beets

Peppers

Lima beans

Eggplant is usually overcooked nasty bitter mush...otherwise it might be ok..LOL Chinese eggplant is better

Okra is just ok if it's fried

Celery is ok if it's cut up small and cooked in a stew or soup, but not raw

Artichokes are awesome!![...]

To eat- pull off the leaves- scrape the inside (white part) with your bottom teeth and when you get to the choke, scrape the little fibrous hairy things with a spoon and then eat the rest.

I love them too! though I scrape the inside with my top teeth :P

I don't like eggplants, and I'm not a big fan of celery either.

And I've never tried okra. I wonder what it tastes like.

And in fruits (yes it's a little off topic), I hate kiwi.

Other than that, every veggies and fruits are yummy.

My mum (who loved some aubergine dishes) never would buy plain or Italian aubergines--always Japanese (which are at least tolerable); she would probably have preferred (then-unavailable) Indian aubergine (as Pras does) over even Japanese.

Guti Vankhaya (Andhra dish using groundnut-base sauce, and sautéed Indian aubergine) is OK (you may have guessed, it's one of Pras' favourites)

Okra is just ok if it's fried perfectly sautéed (but only then)

Could it be due to the (lack of any) flavour?

I have more than a few veggies I hate. My most hated are:

tomatoes (unless in a smooth tomato sauce)

squash - all forms

zuchini

eggplant

beets

cucumbers

I will eat most other veggies if they are cooked as I don't like many raw veggies (except carrots, celery & lettuce) And none of this crisp tender nonsense!

I do, though, love Brussels Sprouts!

not sure. It may also have to do that I remember when I was young, I didn't like them and once I was sick and when I puked I could see the little black seeds of the kiwi... And since then I haven't been able to try them anymore.
