Hi guys,

I am filling out an I 131 form for advanced parole. I am in the midst of my AOS for a green card.Should I attach the I-797C form

with my I 131 form?.

also, how do you justify a vacation as an explanation for advanced parole?.Part 7 asks how I "qualify" for the advanced parole and what circumstances warrant issue.

Is advanced parole only good for serious reasons like an emergency or something?. Anyone ever been denied?.

Thanks, Grae.

When i filed for the AP, i was planning on attending a wedding in August. I wrote a paragraph or two explaining that it was a close family friend's wedding that i wanted to attend. I added what dates i needed to travel on. I attached it to the back of the form and sent it off. However as time drew closer to the wedding, i still didnt hear anything back, so i decided not to travel.....well the day before i would have been traveling back to Canada, I received my AP in the mail. It was kinda nice that i could have gone, but i knew that a last minute flight would have cost a fortune, so i stayed at home!

I dont think it is only for emergencies, im pretty sure if you type a letter and attach it, that they look at it. I dont know if anyone has been denied!

Hope that helped!

I would just write "in case of emergencies or family visits" I would think that is evidence enough, they dont seem to be too strict on handing out AP's!
