I would just like to say that I am a practicing Catholic opposed to abortion and the death penalty. However as I see no immediate way to deal effectively and responsibly with the abortion issue, I have greater needs when deciding who to vote for to run my country. This does not make me a bad Catholic.

Also, this priest is an idiot. If he was my parish priest, I'd leave his church.

Our parish priest would never speak thusly from the altar.

The very scandalous nature of these sort of speeches should immediately turn a smart person off, however, there are plenty of dumb and scared people to fall for #######.

Well first of all the only "proof" in the link is at one school, a private school, to be more precise. And who is the ever-elusive "they" teaching kids about homosexuality? I don't see that kids are being taught "Hey! Let's be gay!!!! YAY GAY!!!!" Instead they're being taught compassion for a very large (and growing) part of our population. This is a time of equal rights for all. All. Regardless of race or religion or sexuality. And yes, children should be taught compassion and tolerance. I fail to see the wrong in that.
