Asking here because there appear to be very few K1K2's active on the ROC forum...

We got a "Notice of Inclusion" for our son yesterday, but have not received the NOA-1 for his dad, my husband, yet. I am wondering if others have gotten this document, mostly because it looks so, well, unofficial! It does not look like any NOA-1 that I've seen... it says all the right stuff, from what I know (not much), but is just on a plain white sheet of paper... no letterhead, no NOA form, no watermarks... just a bunch of typing and a stamped signature. I could easily re-create this document on my laptop at work!

Is this what others have gotten when petitioning to remove conditions for a K2 dependent?

And has anyone travelled internationally using this document? How did it go?

Thanks for any feedback/prior experience anyone can share...

Maya

Many thanks to the Visajourney community for all the help!

K2s and K4s just get the plain looking letter. That's all. K1s and K4s get the I-797.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

Thanks Haole.

Someone responded in the ROC forum and said he (our son) would eventually get his extension letter too, but it sounds like you are saying he won't. This worries me a bit since we are planning a trip to Nepal next summer and I doubt we'll have their 10 year greencards by then, and I just can't imagine this letter getting him past CPB back into the country.

Anyone could've typed it on their computer.

I guess if we don't get an extension letter for him when we get one for my husband, we will just make an infopass appt before our trip and be sure we have what we need.

Thanks for your response!

Best wishes,

Maya
