i just got back to miami from the philippines a few days ago, well as soon as i got back to the

states, i called uscis at the vermont center being that my cases is almost 8 months overdue, the

first lady i spoke with on the phone refused to process my service request cause she said that

vermont was currently processing petitons filed on march 4 2008, and my petition is from march

18. so i decided to call back, and this time i spoke with a differernt person, i explained to her

that it has been a long time waiting for my papers to be approved, and i was afraid

something was wrong, the lady finally decided to process my service request, she told me

that uscis has 45 days to search my case and they will notify me by mail with a status

of my case.i also spoke with my attorney, he has already written a letter to the vermont

service center to find out what is happening with my petition. i also went ahead and

contacted my congressman here in miami, his staff asked me for a copy of the noa 1

and receipt number of my case, they told me that they will call uscis and should have an

answer by the end of the week, i hope all this work will generate some type of changes on my petition, as of now i will just wait to see what happens,

Does anyone else has any suggestion that might help me, i am desparate and i dont know what else to do.

I been waiting for six months and I have done everything I am supposed to do and nothing. I feel your stress, I call immigration every week and I have also call my attorney and we are still waiting. Now you mention that you call your congressman. Question how ca I contact the congressman or what number should I call. Could you advice. Good luck with the rest of the process I hope you receive your approval soon.

I have been waiting almost 7 months now and nothing. I have called everybody. Somehow some of us fall into a black hole somewhere and have a hard time getting out. I can only think it's God's will for whatever reason. Although thats not very comforting!

We received our NOA 1 dated November 29, 2007. We were requested more docs in March, sent in within 3 days. Then May they requested a Biometrics in San Antonio. On August 12 we had an email sent inquring about our status. Letter dated September 22, received October 3, said give us another 60 days. OMG it is torture. Good luck to everyone who is patiently waiting.

Wow - I am SO sorry to hear that! I don't understand this process, why it can go so smoothly for so many people and then so slowly and neverending for others.
