im a new member, its my first time to post here in VJ. i just feel worried about the two dui that my fiance got involved into long time ago. here's a summary of the situation, my fiance got arrested for dui of alcohol last 2003 he paid fine and got to jailed for overnight then by 2005 he got arrested again for the second time for dui of alcohol and this time his licensed got suspended for 5 years, then he had to pay fine then he got to jail for 3 days.

my main concern here he is my petitioner, do u think it will cause us trouble especially during my interview in the future cause ofcourse the embassy will do background check for the petitioner and pls help us what necessary documents we need to prepare in the future. thank you! is anyone here with same case like us?

im expecting already that co will ask this to me, im confident that i can answer their ques regarding my fiance dui involvement but ofcourse im just human to be frighten cause i know it might put our visa approval at risk and oh my god no one here wanted to get deny and to get back from step one, pls i will appreciate anyone who can give us insights and help thank you in advance

godbless!!!

hope to hear from you soon guys!!!

I doubt that would come up, but if it does I would answer truthfully.

Even if it did, I don't see it having a bearing on your interview.

On a personal note:

2 DUI in 2 years is not a good thing.

It could be a sign of alcholism.....

nah.. it was just a DUI he was not a convict and he is a free citizen i dont think he has restrictions,,.

Probably it won't affect his petition but he is prohibited to drive for 5 years.

I drink alcohol but I wouldn't want to operate car if I get drunk. :innocent:

I don't think anyone was being judgemental. It was when you said that he had 2 DUI's in 2 years. We thought there might have been a drinking problem and we were just looking out for you! Everyone is entitled to mistakes in life as long as you learn from them.

That would be Great if he overcame these mistakes he made. I wish you both all the Happiness in the world. Good luck to you both......
